It was great meeting you. I'm happy you liked the store. You have a VIP pass to the basement if you're ever in town again. I hope you enjoy the records.

I'm from Poland. These two LPs from Polish Jazz series are both among few most desired and rarest LPs from the series. Great find!

The Bop Shop was my favorite record store when I lived in Rochester. Nothing even close to it here in Sacramento.

I've scored some choice Jazz albums itp in the Southwest part of the city. College Park, East Point, West End, Greenbriar, Langford Pkwy, etc. If you don't already I highly suggest checking out some estate sales and yard sales around there. It is a honey hole. Most flippers don't mess with that area and conveniently that's where the best music was historically enjoyed! And because of the real estate market there are a lot of multi-generational properties being sold off right now. Lots of basements being cleaned out.

Always enjoy your jazz program. Your right. Very hard to find original good jazz vinyl. I love Impulse pressings. Have many. Beautiful gatefold covers and vinyl. Sadly far and few finds anymore.

Hey I was visiting a friend a few years back who lives in Alpharetta. There was a pretty good record store there called Comeback Vinyl. Pretty good jazz selection. Not sure if you’ve been there.

That’s my neighborhood store. Loads of jazz, especially audiophile jazz. They no longer carry used records. Great people and the most luxurious store in the city.

I know of the Book Nook Marietta location but have never stopped in. Passed it a thousand times. Now I have to have to. I stopped in Sweet Melissa records on the Marietta Square killing some time and picked up a Dire Straits record and some other vinyl. I'm more rock/pop, getting into Jazz. Agreed with Atlanta Vinyl and really HiFi, for the size of the city, I'd expect more shops and variety. Looking at used Hifi equipment, I find more interesting stuff in the Carolinas or Florida.

Sweet Melissa is great, I’ve found some excellent stuff there over the years. That Marietta location has much more vinyl than the Toco Hills area place and it’s also worthwhile

I saw what was maybe Red Mitchell's last concert, which was a free concert with Jessica Williams and Dick Berk at Portland, Oregon Pioneer Courthouse Square, a couple of months before Mitchell passed away. It was a pretty hot day and Mitchell was wearing a turtleneck and sport coat, which I thought was unusual in that weather.

I think it’s harder in the south to find these records, East/West coast big cities have a lot and Midwest too. St. Louis has a ton of jazz! Lot of prices dropping though, the fad is definitely dying. I’m very surprised you’re still seeing things are expensive and hard to find.
