Both sound good. The Wild is more pronounced and seem to project more. For a player like me that plays mostly with electric bands and wedding bands I think I'm going to give the Wilds a try after seeing this. I have always admired your musicianship and solid character as a person Quamon. You are the personification of Texas Tenor sir!

Ooh.....I love the sound of the Rigotti Wild. They sound punchier and brighter to me....maybe a little buzzy too. Thanks for doing a great demo

I've been playing rigotti gold for a while now. Gotta try the Wilds. You sound great on them.

Been following you a long time.. I'm a Texan as well.. went to NTSU with Billy Harper, "Blue" Lou Marini, Jim Riggs, great Sax player still teaching at NTSU I think... We would stand outside Harper's practice room and nearly pass out over the altered scales he ran...same with you Bro... still learning and playing... you are a Huge inspiration. The first clip I dug of you was, "I'll Remember April", an outside stage concert. You're a Bad, "Mamma Jamma"..... my friend, Kelly, had Kirk Whalum on his CD back in the 90's. Kirk is "Outta Sight" I like the mellow "Gold", since my heroes were Bird, Desmond and Getz, Benny Carter.....Peace Profound...

Aww man! Thanks for the love! Yeah, the Gold is mellow! I come back to that one. The Wild is so easy to blow though. I can use both both different situations.

I reached out for a purchase from Frank. I like your sound on the Gold only because I like I dark rich tenor sound and rarely do I play tenor bright.

Thanks for the comparison, would be more helpful if you would have played the same things for both

Nice bro , would you recommend the wild reeds for contemporary stuff and gospel gigs
@QuamonFowler3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, depends on high bright you like to sound. The Gold is more mellow and warm for an intimate featured set. The Wild is for when you want to cut through a band on a big stage.

I definitely prefer the Wild..its sound is more dramatic and nuanced. I believe that you could probably darken it up with your embouchure if needed. I just need to know how to purchase them..without ordering on the French site, or through Borgani in Italy.

Hey Q, you know where I lean...Gold. More depth and core. Sweeter sounding. Wild plays freer though.
