How was your experience in the Escape Room as a Deaf person? I had a friend go to one and even though they warned ahead the group was Deaf, there were still SOUND CLUES in the room that they couldn't hear!! *facepalm* I guess if you were in a mixed Deaf/Hearing group, then it's not as big a problem. :)

I don't know exactly which bit of the video you are referring to, but when you mouth words while signing, it's a purposefully exaggerated mouth shape to enhance the ability to lipread. A lot of NMF signs (ie signs where you don't mouth the word and use wider body language) include a facial expression that conveys a mood. So putting your tongue between your teeth ('th' mouth gesture) can help convey frustration, unease, unpleasantness, or humour in different signs. That's overly simplified grouping, but if you want to learn more, I suggest googling 'mouth gestures BSL'. Hope this helps x
