Mate you need to take the insulation out of the bonnet! I've done it on my Polo GTI and the induction noise is so much louder as well as the turbo spool!

19 Plate onwards has much more induction noise standard, mine sounds pretty much the exact same as yours but I've only got a C:Performance induction kit. Interested to hear one with the Revo or Pro Alloy kit installed

Yup think you are right there. The newer cars without the dump/recirc valve from factory do seem to respond better to induction kits (in terms of sound)

Aled Bound Thanks mate. Yeah everything you see on screen is my own from the titles to animations. The only shortcut I’ve taken is a small transitions pack which I use sparingly 😁 the videos take a little while to produce but I think the extra effort is worth it 👍🏼

Not noticed any, but I’ve been running an open come for over a year. This kit introduces the free flowing pipe work around the rear of the engine, which is the most noticeable change.

Does the MK8 run a recirc/diverter valve of any type, assume any lift off noise will increase if a non OEM unit is used?

Earlier cars have a recirc valve. The newer ones don’t. If you add an aftermarket valve it’s a very different type of sound to the induction kit.

@@JBCTRhey man I got an early 2019 st and I noticed that it has a bov valve, can i just unplug that and make the intake louder in terms of flutter sound as newer cars or it’s a problem? Cause I’ve heard that newer cars have a reinforced turbo just to handle the air pressure inside of the circle without the bov. So I’m just a bit scared of breaking my turbo

No news on Revo stage 2 unfortunately. They’re researching the restrictions of the GPF I believe.

I’m not sure it’s been done on the MK8 yet as it’s pumped through the speakers. The MK7’s used a resonated box that could be simply disconnected but not as easy here. That said, I can’t say I’ve noticed the fake noise.

I can't decide yet if I should buy one now or wait until a facelift model, I feel if they do a Facelift, ford will give the ST the new virtual cockpit that the other Fast fords got, I think it was the ford puma not sure but it looked cool

@@JBCTR I gotta say if they add that to the STs it would just take the car to another level as of interior design, and I think they should bring that out with a customized option to as that would be an amazing upgrade for the car. it would make you feel as if your really in a higher end car. EDIT: also ambient interior glow would be a pretty cool feature, as long as you can turn it on or off ( some will not like it and some will ) I think it would be good.

No, the filter is quite shielded where it is. It’s also oily to repel water that gets near it 👍🏼

Great video as usual but my 2020.25 with a cotton cone (Think it’s Airtec) makes the same noise with windows up and original ford piping as yours does, third gear 30 mph foot on then foot off
