Strange. Are you printing over USB? If so it could be the cable causing issues.

how do you have the pull switches connect to the board?

They each on there own wires pull to activate but you have to push them down and pull them out again to turn them off, on a adreno board I hear you can program it to work like the real thing just havent gotten one yet.

Do you have to put only switches or can you just put toggle switches so it could look more realistic

The joy controller board I use is all momentary buttons and switches. The parking brake for example come on when I pull the switch but to turn it off I have to push it in then pull it back out. It's not realistic but it's cooler than using keyboard buttons.

I've just made my own from some black perspex plastic I had lying around waiting for a delivery of some carbon A4 sheet £1.99 then I can install my switches
