John, always put coleslaw on your pork bbq sandwich, it's a sin not too, lol! I learned that at Top's BBQ in Memphis. A little black lady served me and she asked if I wanted slaw, I said "no, yuck"! Then she made me try it for free! I loved it and never looked back, lol. Her comment "Don't knock something till you try it!" While my husband was having heart surgery, the kid's and I ate at Top's everyday for three days lol! I love their baked beans. So every time Wayne has heart work in Memphis we eat there! The prices are far cheaper in Apple Vallley than in Gatlinburg! Very nice cafe and hear their breakfast is awesome. It sounds like it's worth the 16 mile drive to eat any time! Jill Gross

I love the Townsend area and the drive out Wears Valley to get there. That’s a nice peaceful area away from the crowds of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. One of these days I want to drive The Foothills Parkway that’s off Wears Valley Rd. I’ve heard it’s beautiful!

We just ate there a few weeks ago. The Apple Valley Salad is plentiful and delicious. But you missed the Dancing Bear Coffee Shop. Gorgeous place with a wide variety of coffee drinks and smoothies. We live in Maryville, TN and the coffee shop is our favorite place to stop and relax.

It amazes me how many niceplaces you all find to dine.The food always looks great.That's a great place you can find go to general store too.Prices did not look bad either.John there was a PBS video on dogs and one place deep fries them and lines are long.I tried them at brother in-laws place they are terrific deep fried.Try one well done a burner lol

This is by far my favorite place to stop and grab a bite to eat, we always sit just outside the cafe in the corner table!🥰 We always get the fish sandwhich and chicken tenders for the kiddies😄 Just before the pandemic they had a fixings bar were you could add toppings yourself, it was amazing. Great review❤

There is a Apple Barn restaurant in Pigeon Forge that sells them also you are correct. We have had them there also but not filmed it. They have great apple fritters. We reviewed that place and show those Cheryl😎😎

the pulled pork looks dried out, but my hubby wouldnt know the diff, lol.. but me, i like to see a slight pinkish smoked look but also super juicy. he would just add sauce to it and say its the best he ever had, lol

We break even with the videos on you tube. So are trips are basically free. But we spend hours filming and editing so it's like a job and making minimum wage. Plus we film 4 videos a day so we are not there maybe 4 days or so at a time. Have done 17 before on one trip. That is hard to do.
