Join us for a trip to Yoders Country Market to try their dinner buffet. We have been by this place several times to do Shady Maple but never stopped here. This time because alot of asked us to go here we decided to do it. We are glad we did. This place had a very good variety of items and awesome deserts. So let us give you a tour.

Here in Amish Country, you put maple syrup on corn fritters. Very good 👍. Some people put powered sugar on top and then the syrup.

i always read reviews before I buy anything, and my opinion is always different. A restaurant can have bad days, they can not help that. We all have different tastes when it comes to food. Our taste can be different. I have never seen some of the foods you showed on a buffet. I love the Amish country, they have amazing restaurants. I always get so hungry after seeing your reviews. LOL I enjoy your reviews so much, thank you for sharing.

My husband and son loved the ham balls, personally I loved the ribs, they were fall off the bone, we've been there twice and can't wait to go back, shady maple is always so crowded so we found yoders and will keep going there, the food is good and the service was good, and we live in Upland Pennsylvania, about an hour and a half away I guess, my son always drives 👍🙏❤️😎nice video

I love that you did Yoders!! it is my favorite buffet. We go here for my birthday almost every year. He likes Shady Maple so we go there for his birthday. I never knew they were known for corn fritters. I would have said it was the ham balls. They have the very best!! thanks for doing this video.

Whenever I head up to Shady Maple, I always stop at Yoders for something to eat first!... I like the fact that they have really good Liver & Onions on the steam table! Gotta love those Amish!!!

This buffet is fabulous not only because of it`s immense variety but it`s more "down to earth" and seeing I was raised in the country myself with common yet delicious food I would say this place is a very popular spot in the new holland pa. area🙂

Love Yoder’s they are wonderful people great family ❤️ Grocery store is very nice I prefer Yoder’s over shadymaple. They make their own ice cream which is delicious they have their own cows . Their chocolate milk is delicious 👍 My mom lives in NJ it’s her favorite place too eat when she visit and she loves their ham balls.

That all looked so good! I'm on the hunt now for a chicken lasagna recipe. I will say though, growing up my mom couldn't get me to eat asparagus or brussels sprouts. But, as an adult I set out to find different ways to cook them that I might like. She boiled every vegetable until they were mushy and no flavor left, unless she added bacon grease. But I eventually figured out I really like asparagus, and brussels sprouts (cut in half) and sauteed with olive oil and some montreal steak seasoning sprinkled on top. I cook just until they're tender, not mushy. I also like green beans better when they're sauteed in a pan better than boiling. As a kid I didn't realize how good vegetables could be.

Oh , I know what you mean, mom did the same, I hate fish !!!!!! Had a buffet in Mexico, the cactus caught me off guard and the next thing I tried was fish, didn’t know it was fish and as I realized it was fish all I was thinking was how tasty the fish was, the waiter said the fish barely had enough time to towel dry before hitting the frying pan!

This brings back memories, grew up a couple towns over from New Holland in Churchtown, Yoder's was my first job as a teenager. Everybody here either worked at Yoder's, Shady or Good's as kids, haven't been for a long time even though I'm right nearby. Shady is much more known for the tourists and higher prices, Yoder's caters more to us locals and provides jobs for local young people. We always went to Shady and Yoder's as a treat growing up as kids as a family. This is a tradition for us locals going back decades. Thanks for visiting and being respectful as well.

Pre Covid my family goes to Lancaster every year. See a show at Sight and Sound (AMAZING Talent). We've ate at just about all of these places. Our Favorites are Shady Maple for Breakfast and Bird and hand for Dinner. But since most aren't open on Sunday we would go to Millers. There food looks amazing but by then I'm usually buffets out and it looks better then it taste. Except the desert bar.. Hot pie with ice cream YUMMY Chocolate Pecan pie with Vanilla ice cream. To die for

Thanks for reviewing Yoder's. Definitely one of your best reviews--you really seemed into this one. There are some local people who swear by Yoder's and would not even consider going to Shady Maple. I still prefer Shady Maple, since it is a one-of-a-kind experience, but am happy that Yoder's seems to be doing well. Competition only makes the experience better.

Coincidentally, we had the dinner buffet on Tuesday. Featured was the prime Rib. So, we very much enjoyed the buffet but only ate prime Rib. Next visit I would like to try some other dishes. The ham ball, pot roast & other items looked very good. The salad bar was very good. Yoder's certainly compares to the Shady Maple & is a few dollars cheaper.

I live in Lancaster County, just a short distance from Yoder's and Shady Maple. I find Yoder's a cheap alternative to Shady Maple. The wait is way shorter, though they don't offer as much, the food is good

I never think to really check out places in shopping centers. On the rode it's always places close to the interstate. The asparagus casserole looks interesting. Hi friends, here on the NW side of country, that asparagus casserole is called Scalloped Asparagus. My co-workers always seemed to have one dish of it at a potluck. But they used canned asparagus instead of fresh when the fresh wasn't available. Fresh is always best. I remember they would crush up a sleeve of either saltines or the richer tasting buttery Ritz crackers then pour melted butter over the crushed crackers before sprinkling over the top of casserole.

I live in NJ and travel to Lancaster County PA often. I frequent both Shady Maple and Yoders. I have to say that I like them both... but, Yoders is my number 1. Even though they are both buffets, they are totally different. Yoders tends to cater more to locals, thus the different types of options at the buffet that you usually don't see at Shady Maple. I find the quality of food better at Yoders, the deserts are way better, and honestly never had a problem with the temperature of the food or the staff. This was my first time on your channel. Enjoyed you both and you look like really nice people and a lovely couple. I appreciated your honesty in your review. Have you ever been to Miller's Buffet? It's also Ronks PA on Route 30. another great review and video, that dessert area OH MY, you're right would be good to go there just for that. I make corn fritters, we have them either as a side with pork or part of a brunch, have never seen them served with sour cream (we use sour cream on potato pancakes) I usually serve the fritters with warm maple syrup. I have had chicken lasagna before, very rich, made with a white cream sauce in place of the tomato sauce and cooked shredded chicken, nice to see a different variety of food on the buffet, be well, regards

We're from down in West Virginia, we travel to Lancaster at least once a year! (This year 2 times!!) Of course we hit both Yoders and Shady Maple at least 2 times each week!! Good Food and plenty of it too!! Nice video and thanks for sharing!!

Hi …. Just catching this video. Really appreciate your opinion for Yoder’s. I have been there and didn’t have the same experience which was concerning because Shady Maple is not far away and very popular. But we are going to Sight n Sound in July and I think I’m going to give it another chance. I grew up with all the Pennsylvania Dutch cooking but live in Jersey,so I enjoy all the places you mentioned when I get out there. Thanks for sharing 👍😋

We love Brussels and do them a lot, charred with white wine and butter in a cast iron pan. SOOOOO good! I'd love to try that chicken lasagna! I"m not sure how I feel about the ham ball, but the fried chicken looks amazing and I'm really intrigued with that asparagus casserole! Bobbie is right... the price of wings is ridiculous!!! I also agree with Bobbie... Corn is better when the kernels are smaller!!! Beef and homemade noodles!!!!!! For me, nothing says "home" quite like that! My aunt always makes it when we all come in from out of town for our family reunion. Corn fritters are popular down here in the south and I like them, but I don't go out of my way to get them. The catfish looked amazing, too!!! Cherry pie is my absolute favorite! Good choice, Val!!!!

We try to go to Lancaster, PA every year. Love the buffets. Visit all the places you have. Shady Maple is da best. Just have to go on Prime Rib night.

This buffet was awesome. My favorite was the hand dipped ice cream with fudge topping. Man I wish I had a serving ..I'm not a soft serve ice cream fan

Yoders is the bomb! We have camped in Lancaster for years and we LOVE Yoders. Yes, we have been to Shady Maple as well, yet, Yoders is our go to. Smaller establishment, more like "ma and pa" owned buffet.

I’m so glad that you made it to Yoder’s! I suggested this buffet to you a few weeks ago and recommended the hand dipped ice cream as well (which I was told can be purchased in their grocery store). When we visited at the end of June all the restaurants had a 45 minute wait, but we didn’t have a wait at Yoder’s - you’re right that it’s more of a spot for the locals. I love all the options and the speciality grilled items are great. I’m a big ham ball fan and theirs did not disappoint. The staff is so friendly and the restaurant is very clean. The desserts are so good and as I mentioned there are quite a few flavors of ice cream offered - I had a sampler and loved it! So glad you enjoyed your meal - it’s one of my favorite spots!

Everything looked so yummy!! I wished we had some of those Amish buffets out my way! I live in mid Tennessee and the closet Amish is in Etheridge TN. They used to have a somewhat Amish restaurant near there, but it closed several years ago 😞
