I love how late the ceremony starts in the us! In uk our ceremonies are usually around midday or earlier and it makes the day very long because the first dance is still at 8pm 😅

This is an awesome video. Great information for new and experienced wedding photographers. I've done quite a few weddings, and this video gave me a few new ideas for my workflow. Thank you.

I have a couple doing a t-shirt toss (like at a sporting event) from a venue's balcony sometime after the first "DJ set" which I thought was kind of cool!

That sounds really fun and unique!

Great video, John. Was this posted for those couples who will NOT be hiring a wedding planner?
@jbivphotography13 күн бұрын
Thanks! This is mainly for photographers. I believe that every photographer should be writing timelines with their couples. This helps everyone understand what the photographer needs rather than leaving it to the planner to decide everything.

@@jbivphotography I agree. I like to have creative control about how the process will be documented. I will say this: in the event my couples are NOT hiring a planner, I will most likely be giving my investments a bump if and when I'm requested with help outside of photography (such as vendor contacting, actual timeline planning, etc.)

Can you please make short version of this like Reels/Tiktok so I can share it to those platforms? We need to educate couples and other vendors like celebrants and wedding planners/coordinators?

in the UK, doing the family photo's before the service is a big no no. But everything else is great

I don't think it's so much of an area thing more so modern couples. Traditional couples here in the states also don't do family photos before the ceremony. It's only on first look days which are not traditional days. The couple has already seen each other which in tradition is "a big no no". I'm sure there's couples in the UK who do it as well. It's just few and far between.
