The sound samples at the end of the video are recorded on a Zoom H1n. It is not a replacement for a live audition, but only to help you get a general idea of what kind of sound you can expect. In reality the bass is a lot deeper and smooth.

sony HT S20R or this JBL Bar 2.1 soundbar deepbase? i want to connect it to my gaming PC and pc more on music and play games minimal movies

I would prefer the JBL simply because the sub is wireless. I haven't personally auditioned the Sony. The subwoofer on the Sony as well as surround speakers are wired. That would add a lot of clutter. If you are into competitive gaming, nothing beats a good set of headphones.

Would this be a good option within 25k? I would use this for my TV only (thru HDMI). I'd listen to music, watch videos and stream movies. I'm totally confused for a good option. Problem is, showrooms don't have too many soundbars as display pieces and the ones they have are not very popular online .. 😂

It would. Good sound is totally budget dependent and subjective. When i picked this i had gone with an open mind with a budget of 30k,. I auditioned what was on offer and liked this one as the sound was relatively flat but the sub was punchy and warm. I personally do not like when the highs are overdone as in most budget options. I would strongly suggest to personally audition before buying and then try for a deal online.

I haven't auditioned the Samsung myself. It does seem that the JBL is heavier on the bass while the Samsung is an all round performer. Additionally the Samsung has a working usb port. And most importantly it fits in your budget. JBL is going just over. I'd strongly suggest you audition them for yourself though before you choose.

Nah. Don't do it. The sound would be irritatingly loud and bassy. Just pick a pair of headphones or TWS. It would be cheaper as well.

That's true. There are way too many variables when picking up sound with a mic like this, including proximity to the source, room acoustics and ofcourse mic characteristics. It is mean't to be a mere representation and nothing can replce a live audition.

i only have the jbl subwoofer sb 150 can this be connected to anyother device, iv tried pairing but it doesnt pick up.

It will have to be with a JBL soundbar with bluetooth subwoofer connectivity. It would be pointless though since then you would already have a subwoofer.

I had checked out a Samsung at the same price range. It was good but the JBL exceeded in bass quality. Also saw a Sony but it had surround speakers which i did not want. Saw the Yamaha 109 as well but without a sub it did not sound very effective. I think this one is a safe and solid choice under 30k.

Two JBL products I purchased - earbuds and the 2.1 soundbar have both stopped working within 2 years of purchase. These are not trivial expenses. There's clearly planned obsolescence with JBL products and I'm here to warn people to not buy JBL audio equipment. It may sound good, but the products just don't last.

I’ve had a jbl portable Bluetooth speaker that’s been working for it’s 7th year now and earbuds on their 3rd year so this is definitely not true for all

I haven't seen the Sony. The specs look good on paper though. I'd suggest to give it a live audition.

I specifically did not audition the s20r as it has a wired subwoofer and wired surrounds .I did not want the hassle or spoil the aesthetics of the room. If you do not mind the wires the s20 is worth a consideration as well.

I have an older model and I think new it was under 150$. At around volume 20-24, IT BUMPS my house during a party. 4 bedroom and this thing rocks the house. Don't let anyone tell you different. Blessings 👐 💚
