The onyx studio 7 is almost half the price of the boom box 2 and I think it held it's end really well. Obviously the boom box 2 is more powerful, but in my opinion, it's not 2 times better. I personally have both JBL and Harman kardon, one for indoor (cause of the looks) , and one for outdoors. They're both valid imo

@@collinsnicky1202 if you want it for outdoors and parties, I'd pick the JBL. If you usually play music for your home, I'd advise you get the one that you think looks better and that saves you more money ( if you are interested in that). I also suggest a good equalizer on your phone, so you can choose however you like it to sound ( I'd recommend the wavelet equalizer).

The Onyx 1 was easily the best in terms of sound quality. It was balanced perfectly. Just the right amount of bass which didn't ruin the mids & highs.

@@pierreunbekand7515 Bass is not accurate on Onyx Studio 7, it's a one note bass tuning, at 50hz to be precise. It lacks any sense of punch in the mid / upper bass and have too much deep bass as a result, it feels disjointed. Boombox 2 have also too much overall bass, but since it does have enough mid and upper bass, it's deep bass doesn't feel disjointed.

@Zetifyyy - Except the Newer Onyx Studios from 5 to 7 never really matched the Quality of Studio 4. Studio 5-7 Max Out @ 50W 🤮🤮 while Studio 4 is 40W Unplugged, it bumps up to 60W when Plugged In, which makes a Huge Difference.

Take note. That is only In DC running on battery. What if you plugged in the boombox 2 AC mode, that's Will be the replace from the bass boost botton. Will increase its power to 80W and the boombox 2 will literally kill all its competitors. And even way more better, if you updated your boombox to it's latest firmware update ;>

Earpiercing vs Very harsh treble outdoor comparison. Even the original Boombox 1 slightly sharped louder outdoors than the Boombox 2 and the Boombox 3 sounds wayy louder than old both

Just to be fair. Most people don't buy the onxy studio 7 as a portable Bluetooth speaker on battery power. They use it wired, which is much louder and more bass. Can you compare these two speakers wired?

JBL Boombox 2 (280 euro atm) vs Harman Kardon Studio 7 (which cost 210 euro atm). The JBL sounds nicer in the lower registers while the Harman sounds nicer in the higher ones. The Boombox is def. something i would take with me to a beach while the Onyx looks more decorative in a home and/or garden, this you can clearly see in the battery capacity/endurance I guess you can say both machines do the same but still have a different purpose. For that, a comparison is not justified.

The Onyx lacks representation in mid and upper bass, making its bass very one note tuned. Which is not that satisfying compared to Boombox 2, which is way more meaty.
