I bought these. I have no idea how to connect them to a PC or other hardware. Any tips? I'm lost when it comes to speaker wires/converting

You would need to connect to an amplifier and then connect the amplifier to you PC.

@@GeekStreet thanks. What is the connection on these speakers referred as? the red and black socket you insert the wire into - what is the name for the connection and the type of wire I refer to?

These are Hifi speakers, I don’t think they can connect to a pc

@@coolseaotter1455 haha you're right - I sold these a long time ago. Well, you can connect them to a PC but you'd need an amplifier and such.

Just bought a pair tonight, thrown in with a synthesizer. It has no cables. I wondered what cables I need. and are these passive speakers. I want to connect to a laptop. thank you.

I have an amplifier and use this cable search eBay or Amazon for "105 Strand Speaker Cable 50 Metres" obviously you can buy shorter cable too.

Yes you add as part of a surround sound setup.

These really are the worst speakers money can buy. Components are of very low quality. The woofer has a foam suspension which desintegrates while you're looking at it!! I have TWO pair of them. After a few years the foam simply PULVERIZES. It happened to all 4 speakers! They may sound OK the first few months but then the desintegration process becomes audible. The woofer doesn't perform anymore as it should and finally the diaphragm simply separates from the suspension. Apart from that, the tweeter is a joke. I think they got it from a toy factory. The piece of dampening material inside the box is a laugh. Then you have the cross-over filter. It is the simplest of the simplest high / low pass filter you can imagine. Here also, everything is done to cut costs. The speakers are made in China but it is the worst quality China has to offer.
