The system takes a couple of seconds to come on because of the safety of the power amp built-in if they are flying in a venue...you are not getting on a ladder to turn them on and off, therefore the delay on the amp help to prevent it from damage.

I just bought a set a few weeks back. I've noticed after 1.5 hrs of use the back panel becomes extremely hot to the touch at 50 - 65% gain & volume. I have small battery power fans to cool off the back fearing it was overheat & blow the capacitors.

Maybe you can help me decide. I have a small band, mostly acoustic, I run vocals, guitar, kick and every once in a while, the bass (if my bass player brings his small bass amp). I've been running original JBL non powered eons. They've served me well for 20 years and still sound great. But it's time to upgrade. Do you think these would make a good upgrade or should go with the 615's? I'm also looking at the QSC k10's, but they cost nearly twice as much. Thanks for your input.

Hey Doublsmm I just wanted to ask do you have any experiences with the behringer b115mp3 and behringer b1500d-pro speakers? I want to buy one of each just for home use as I really like my bass and music. However I do have a few questions as i'm a complete newbie with PA spakers. I've heard people say you may need to use something called a high pass and low pass filter for the two speakers? Also, have you heard them? Do they sound good? And one more thing, how would you connect the two speakers ? What cable would I need to purchase? And just a note; Would they still sound good if I don't use an amplify do power them (because they're active) as I don't want to spend too much money because it will only be for personal use and not for DJ'ing in large venues?

how does that sound versus partybox 300 ?
@JackBlack77904 жыл бұрын
Think bigger, even Partybox 1000 can't come close 😆 Generally, comparing these speakers is pointless, because they belong to completely different categories - all partyboxes are consumer grade products, and EON series are professional grade. And by the way, two EON612 speakers and EON618S subwoofer are even cheaper than two Partybox 1000 =)
@sonny95464 жыл бұрын
@@JackBlack7790 partybox 1000 is equivalent to a 2.1 system with a 12 " subwoofer and 7" speakers but without stereo . Partybox 1000 against a single EON 612 will sound better with deeper bass but it's more expensive. PA speakers like Eon sound flat without a subwoofer .

@danielgraves83907 жыл бұрын
Nope, for studio work you need speakers with a completely flat and accurate response. These speakers are very curved in the way they are tuned. Plus, the transducers would be no where near good enough to accurately re create what you're doing. Therefore they would be pretty useless. For the money of these you could get some pretty good dedicated monitors so i would go that route if i was you

Hey mate just a quickie ? I watched a video on here , one guy tested the 15"s with input level set at unity playing from an I phone just as a test, and compared them to Qsc 12 , and Mackie Srm450. All set at unity with a decibel meter. These were very quiet like for like at unity and full chat from the I phone . What I was wondering is can the input levels go past unity without reaching the Clip light ? I mean like they were going less than 90db where the qsc and mackie were pushing 104 db all set at unity .
@Doublsmmm7 жыл бұрын
Ahhh, I know what video your talking about and I also know why the JBL is so quite in that video, if you look closely you will notice the QSC and Mackie have one gain control for the sound. However the JBL has one for the input and one for the output that were both set at half so essentially the JBL was only turned 25% of the way up whereas the QSC and Mackie were at 50%. I've run really hot signals into the JBLs with the input level all the way (master volume obviously quite low) and never had any issues with clipping. Hope this helps you!

You should try to snag an old pair of JBL pro speakers from the 80's. The 80's was when JBL was building their drivers in the USA. Now JBL makes their stuff in Mexico and China but that does not mean they are bad. They still sound great but the older ones were far better because they were made entirely in the USA
