I think all of them are good depending on what you want. If you want stereo, you are only left with flip 4, if you want good all ranges then flip 5 is good for you and if you want enhanced highs and deep lows then the flip 6 is for you.

Flip 6 got 2 speakers to. More even then flip 4 cuz it's focus on difrent sound , one for low and mid, one for high. That's amazing :)

@@kingofkings89pl the flip 4 and 6 have the same amount of drivers. Flip 4 is better for people who like stereo, me included because the other 2 don’t have it. Also stereo gives you a much better sound stage

Thanks for the in depth review! I think I'll be keeping my Flip 4 as it's the only one of the three that is stereo. While that may not be a deal breaker for some, I sometimes enjoy reading a book or sleeping with the Flip 4 playing on my chest, and at that range you can definitely hear the left and right speaker separation. And I also use the 3.5 Aux input a lot.

Hi, may I ask what is the location of the Flip 4's microphone? I'm still rocking a Flip 3, with it's first battery change after 7 yrs. This and the Flip 4 have a very good mic with noise and echo cancelling circuits (hardware, not software). Awesome for taking calls if you're in the backyard, kitchen, etc. 🙂

I understand what they did . Even though they also sound good . Flip 6 has a component system . Seperating the tweeter from the woofer makes it sound more clear so each speaker has its own frequency response.

A lot of speakers this size are mono. There’s less stereo speakers this size. It’s the only way to get more bass at this size without needing a larger battery to power two woofers. The size limits what they can do until the tech gets better.

If my flip4 broke, I think I'd try and get another 4. The 6 has more bass, sure, but the 4 is really holding up well and the stereo makes all the difference for me. Not sure what they were trying with the 5.

As small as the speaker is (Flip 4), you won't hear the "Stereo" sound. I hear the stereo better on the Xtreme series

JBL flip 4 is the best in terms of stereo (left & right channel), surrounding. Both JBL flip 5 & 6 are mono speakers if you want to feel the stereo you need to connect two speakers, using party boost.❤😂

Get the flip 4 and use a USB C to Micro USB Adapter. The flip 4 sounds the best. Theres no mic on the flip 5 and 6 for taking calls.

No. They have a protection amp plus the drivers aren’t given enough power to blow on the stock amp unless in low frequency mode. What will happen is the speaker will move very small amounts in which you will not be able to hear

It probably is the best choice. To be fair the flip 4 is good because you get stereo however the flip 5 has no use anymore. The driver is weak compared to the flip 6 with a woofer dedicated to lows and a tweeter for the highs and high mid ranges

The membrane would vibrate a lot more and it would damage the tweter, so no, no tweter plays mids, they are only for treble, on flip 5, it was a full range woofer, full range means it plays all frequencies, mids, bass and treble.

My flip 4 and 5 battery died, speaker cone broke. Bought JBL UA bluetooth batt failed, wire 1 sided sound. Whereas I owned Ultimate Ears brand, etc still going strong. Verdict: JBL cheap product, boycotted it.
