Hi John, You need to installed the Google Home app then click Devices and then add new device. It should then just be found. If it has been setup in the past it may have to be reset. To do this just Press and hold the Microphone Mute button for >13 seconds Hope this helps Dave

Would you prefer this to an Amazon Echo?

Hi Mark, This is a little more complicated question. I love the JBL Link 20 speaker sounds great and the battery last really well. The speakers' mic pickups up requests easily. The real question is do you want to use Alexa or Google Assistant. We use both and there are pros and cons to each. I used to absolutely love and prefer Google assistant which this uses over Amazon but it's now more of a 50/50 split sometimes leaning one way or the other. Alexa does not support KZbin on their screens so for me Google win on that one. Google does not fully support Ring on their screens so Amazon wins on that one. See where this is going. Amazon only use to play amazon prime music but now supports Spotify and other services so 50/50 I am finding that Alexa is now a faster and more accurate response than Google. But neither is perfect. If you are wanting to get started then The JBL Link 20 is a great one to go for as you get a fully Google assistant-enabled Waterproof (I would not take it in the water) Bluetooth speaker that is portable. You can get battery packs for Echo speakers so that is an option amzn.to/3YVAAF7 Thanks for your comments I hope this helps and that you subscribed. Let us know what you decide. All the best Dave
