ok, so loudness mode is on. Is this the same thing as Low-Frequency Mode? And what bass mode (1 or 2) are you in?

JAS Productions this is different from "Low Frequency Mode" In loudness mode the speaker still has dsp, so no distortion whatsoever. The old Partybox 300 doesn't have 2 bass boost steps btw.

JAS Productions you cannot unfortunately. If you own the OG partyboxes you are in for a treat. I also belive that pre order UK models have no low bass cut off filter. Mine happily plays 28hz and shakes my windows out of frame. RedlineRacing

Music Treasure definitely the Partybox 100, since newer models of the 300 don't have loudness mode anymore. The 100 and 300 sound very similar

no, ptbox 300 is in the loudness mode/low frequency mode. if you turn off this mode bass is too stroonger than ptbox 100
