People that think the encore is better, never mind alot better are insane!! I can close my eyes and tell you which one is obviously and without a doubt the 120 and in a class of its own better. Mind you I'm a HUGE encore fan, but when this 120 came out, it was easily the new king of the sub 400 dollar bluetooth speakers, and not even the Encore gets close. Well maybe a little close, but not nearly as close as some a yall are trying to pretend like lol!!

Hi Dominik, Your videos are really superb, well inspired by the spirit of Oluv, with places in the middle of nature which are very enjoyable....it makes you want to go for a walk in your region! I bought the JBL Encore recently and I find it very good, even if the battery is pppfff.....really limited, but I have a mini 220V generator which is perfect for making it last a very long time. Too bad these speakers are not powered by USB-C like the W-King D20, which allows it to be powered with a small USB external battery. Besides, I would like to hear the difference between the W-King and the Partybox Encore. Just one question, Alan recently heard that the Encore firmware update seemed to limit the bass...are you aware of that? I would like to know what you think before updating. There is also one remark I would make to JBL and its Partyboxes, which is that the choice of bass level is always the same and I find that a shame. Bass Off, the sound lacks bass even indoors, and Bass Level 1, too much bass indoors and sometimes also outdoors, and Bass Level 2 is good for high volume techno but not super balanced. In short, I find it a shame that they did not find a level between 0 and 1, which allows you to have just what you need indoors and also outdoors. I find that their speakers lack Mids, although the latest 120s must be quite good on this point. I also had the Partybox 100 but the choice of bass was the same, too much or not enough. That said, now there's the equalizer and it's already cool. I'm going to play with the settings. Thank you again for your videos, they are very informative.

Thanks for long comment! You can find my measurements of the new encore firmware on my community page. It seems like they reduced bass and highs, but alan told me that there is no difference beetween these firmwares, also he said that this firmware would even boost bass because on his unit after firmware volume steps changed, but i measured both at same volume and i didn’t hear any difference in volume of both

The tuning of the encore is great. Nearly flat with little more bass. Ive 2 of them, like them, but the batterie life is not good. The 120 has this ringing treble which I dont like.
