So IFA 2023 is currently going on and one of the biggest things that JBL has finally announced is their New JBL Partybox Ultimate. Now the new JBL Partybox Ultimate looks very cool… but it also has an ultimate price of $1700 and it’ll be out in October 2023.
Now performance wise this Partybox ultimate has dual frontward woofers and dual frontward firing tweeters and it has an out put of 1100 watts. Now for comparison sake, the Partybox 710 has an output of 800 watts and it's already super loud and it already has a ton of bass to it. And this is my speculation, but I think the Partybox ultimate is the replacement for the partybox 1000 cause the 1000 also has an output of 1100 watts.

Forget about the Ultimate. I'm interested in the Authentic 300, depending on the price. I love the design already. Also, you ever plan on checking out the Harman Kardon Go Plus Play 3 and Luna both have built in battery's and the Go + Play 3 is one of the most anticipated speakers this year since the Go+ Play 2 was announced 6 years ago and can still hold its own today.

@frostgodx I made a community post about it since I was getting ready to buy the authentic 300 tomorrow, and I told JBL about the issue so they can correct it. But Alan Ross is going to test it, and I'll buy it if the volume isn't too different or when JBL releases a software update

I can tell you the bass stays the same, but the top end suffers on battery as far as loudness and clarity. This is after about 60% volume you notice a decrease in overall Db though its still passable. Ive had a unit on hand for about 3 weeks from JBL for testing for a tech site i write for (no association with this ghost account). The reason i said the price is a hard pill to swallow is because i feel like your not really getting anymore more for that extra money but a fancy design (which is extremely premium mind you). Its going to be interesting to see what many others end up thinking and if they release a firmware update that changes things.@@TheAscendedTechNinja

Actually the pb ultimate has also dual midrange drivers. Jbl claims that this speaker is 40% louder than the 1000.

Was debating buying the 1000 or the ultimate before the price came out as there is only one 1000 left where I lived for €890 and I bought it, I’m pretty sure they’ve stopped production on the 1000 but who knows

The 1000 is still the largest speaker. Don't let jbl fool you. The 1000 has a 12 inch woofer and is 3 inches taller. It doesn't have the WiFi. Only tws Bluetooth. And it's on sale still direct from jbl. They have it on discount now for $1000

It seems like JBL is trying to compete will Marshall's Acton and Stanmore speakers with the new authentic lineup. Very similar design however we'll see how they sound. If the Authentic 300 sounds better than the Marshall Acton 3 on top of being portable, that will be impressive.

2:43 The PartyBoost feature would be useless, since many of the speakers that support it are smaller and very portable, while connected together with the Ultimate they would be covered up very easily, like at 50% volume the PartyBox would be plenty loud, but for example, a flip 6, would barely make any noise, now here let's say that the Boombox 3 has a slight chance, but once again, at 50% volume it would barely make a difference in the sound loudness. I hope you understoood.

They are no xlr inputs. The 1100w is just peak power it's not going to do that power for the most part And if your a dj you'd be better off getting good pa speakers they will be better especially for bigger events $1700 is too much

I'm also sorry to see such a price jump, probably INFLATION more than anything else. however, realistically speaking: if we just go by the Partybox 1000, searching Amazon for a battery capable of powering it basically starts at a similar price point...so a Partybox Ultimate with a truly worthy battery (and not a 1/10th or 1/4 power output) would be $3,000 or more. if they're going to go "Ultimate", they probably should have just done THAT. curiously, i think a 3 grand Ultimate with a long lasting 500w or 1kilowatt internal battery would probably sell double or triple the sales this model will get.

I'm not a huge fan of JBL I own an ultimate ears hyperboom, but I do hope it has an audio optical port in it just like on the hyperboom so it can be hooked up to a tv.

I run two JBL 310's on top of a 2000 watt power inverter... It's good but it could be better if I can have mids and highs in the front of my car working in sync. I wish JBL would make a Bluetooth mid and high mini box speaker for this issue... Is there any way that I could do that outside of JBL? Or do I break down a 110 and modify it to a special box? Anybody got any ideas?
