@@calyxl43 Just based on the specs I would have to agree. Each 710 is 800 watts bringing it to a total of 1600 Watts compared to the 1100 Watts of one ultimate. The frequency response at the low end is only a difference of 5 Hertz with the 710 coming in at 35 Hertz and the new ultimate coming in at 30 Hertz. From experience, just one of my 710s rattles the walls.

@@EngagedWellBeingYou can't compare power like that. Ultimate is still gonna be louder with 1100W of power than double 710 with combined 1600W. Plus the Ultimate has better audio quality overall. Dual 710 wins in terms of stereo sound separation though so it's still a better investment than single Ultimate I'd say.

If you have the money, choose the Ultimate. Otherwise, buy two 710s. The 1000 is a relic. There is no app support and the sound quality is so boomy that it is difficult to listen to for a long time. It is old, so the 4.2v water resistance and durability are not very good.

I feel that the absence of XLR is a good thing for JBL in this series of speakers. They do have a pro division that addresses the needs for dj applications, therefore making the ultimate and ultimate speaker for HOME use. Many people have large rooms and backyards that can accommodate the amount of sound it produces. Obviously, 2 PB 710 will sound louder against one Ultimate, but please compare it to 2 PB Ultimate 😂. Out of this world... I defend this speaker because JBL is giving you a choice to pick depending on your need.

Very interesting point. They do have a professional line that is better suited for DJs. I use my party boxes for events, but it is very streamlined connected to my laptop with no need for a DJ or mixer. I'm not a DJ so I just want some really kick ass sound.

from hearing the sound comparison on a good speaker system, i can say that the ultimate has much better mids (like the 310s mids) and sounds brighter and clearer, the bass honestly isn't too much more, id say that two 710s have more bass than a single ultimate.

Just received a pair of 710’s today, keeping things realistic each speaker has a pair of 8 inch woofers and 2.75 inch tweeters. With the equalizer in the app and the right songs you can really get the base thumpin’ hard enough to feel it in your chest and the floor if you’re standing close .. that being said I tried it with a variety of music genres and (keep in mind I’m being really nit picky for peoples high expectations) the only thing I found it lacking was some some clarity in regards to instrument separation in the mids/highs in some songs. Now to be fair i haven’t played enough with the speakers positioning and acoustic environment but these speakers feel geared more toward the aspect of driving bass than beautiful clean separation if you're ears lean more toward the audiophile side you may notice the occasional muddying of violins or other instrumentals in the mix. But let’s keep this in perspective they sound great, some songs have great separation and you aren’t just buying component speakers here it’s an all in one package that seamlessly pairs and plays together wirelessly with some cool features, you just plug the damn things in and start rippin’ from a phone, super simple and convenient. I may get some 310’s or something to daisy chain to add some fill in for some of those instrumentals I’m being picky about. If anyone has experience doing this or suggestions let me know. They are great speakers I’m not regretting them at all.

That’s a good point, you know what I didn’t realize … none of the PartyBox speakers seem to support FLAC, they only support mp3, wma, and wav files formats via their usb port according to their literature 🤔 kinda sucks they don’t support FLAC or ALAC. I was playing off Apple Music that uses ALAC so my only real option for lossless would be wav files …. Hmmm 🤔

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking it's really between 3 options, I had already ordered the ultimate on preorder but I went on vacation this week and they delayed the shipping so I canceled so they wouldn't leave the ultimate on my porch for over a week. Option 1: Repurchase ultimate and daisy chain to my 710 Option 2: second 710 for stereo and save money Option 3: 2 partybox 1000 for the same price as ultimate.

Two ultimates do pair up via Bluetooth and not wifi. The wifi is for direct streaming. I confirmed this with JBL directly before I purchased my second one and have since tested this to be true.

This is simply untrue. 710 has 118dB max loudness compared to 124dB of the Ultimate. Double 710 have about 121 dB so still way lower than the Ultimate. Also there's outdoor tests of double 710 vs the Ultimate and the Ultimate is the clear winner.

3:10 Absolutely not. 😂 That is not a reason to price it as a gaming pc. The 710 can also be bought used at 500 euros or less if you bargain and so. The light features being the reason be to overly priced is not enough. To me the ultimate is still limited in light for 1600 or doubble euros. If it had 10 more light, still wasn't enough.

Two 710’s can’t beat one ultimate. The 710 from videos available using a SPL meter at one meter distance the 710 gets to 107.4 DB and the ultimate gets 110.8db . If you know anything about how decibels works then you will know that from 105db to 106db you need nearly double the power . There is an equation that you can look up on google. Long story short you will need 5 and a half x 710’s to get to the sound pressure of the ultimate. Drop the 🎤. I’m a professional automotive sound installer and one 12 inch sub compared to 2 x 12 inch subs you only gain between 1-2.5 db . With double the power . I’m a huge fan of JBJ speakers and the ultimate punches way more than my 2x 710’s . Hands down. Save up your cash and get one ultimate. Thank me later 👍

The JBL1000 is still more than enough for me! i dont need that light show but i am sure the ultimate sounds nice but the bass is probably not a nice as the down firing subwoofer the jbl1000 has.

Actually the bass is better. It's proven if you check out videos on KZbin. The Ultimate sounds cleaner and the bass is deeper.

@@iSoul33 i gotta hear it in person. i just figured the down firing sub would shake more vs it being on the front. i am sure 2 10s sound tighter in bass vs a 12 inch.
