I own 2 pair and use them at my friends venue for stage monitors. They’re alright. Even better with a good mixer. I prefer the yamaha sm12v because they have a better frequency response.

Thanks, we looked at Yahama, maybe sometime we will buy some of their speakers. Yamaha makes so much random stuff. Every Yamaha thing we own is high quality, a wave runner, a digital piano, a generator, a saxophone.

Thanks Scott! The JBLs sound much better than Sound Town Callisto series. The Metis series sound almost as good as the JBLs. We have not bought any DBX but that is the equipment we would use next unless we jump to line arrays. Right now we are only going to produce small bands in small crowds. DBX is Harman/Samsung company all their products we've tried are great.

yes you do need an amp the best quality amp we found is this one amzn.to/3UYu1Tr we had an XLi cheaper series and it blew up
