FYI: You can use the JBL Quantum 400's USB connection on the PlayStation 4, all the sound, mic (even sidetone) and RGB settings you had on PC will carry over when you use it on the PS4 (Because the settings is basically saved on the headset). Yep, JBL Quantum Surround works on the PS4. I have the JBL 400 and I discovered it myself because no reviewers ever mention how you can connect the USB to PS4 instead of using 3.5mm jack to the controller.

^Some reviews I've read say these headsets are a little bit fragile. Si that right? I've been considering buying a Q 400 headset, and even tho I don't intent to carry them over to a lot of places this is important to me.

@@WitchEnjoyer Nah, those who say it's fragile probably stretch the damn headsets way too much everytime they put it on. Mine is going for a year and a half and it's still intact. I've replaced the earpads though and I've put a protective cover on the headband too.

@@mauicruzzz3421 There's no official confirmation but in my own experience I believe so. The settings that is saved into the headset from your JBL Quantum Engine app on your PC seems to work on PS4 because the sound quality doesn't change for me when I use it on my PS4. Just make sure to use the usb cable on the PS4, not the 3.5mm jack on the PS4 controller.

In this lineup, you'd need to use the JBL Quantum 300 or 400 for the 7.1 surround sound processing. The 400s also add DTS headphones:X v2.0 virtual surround sound and balance dial controls audio mix for gameplay and chat.

No, the chat/game mix wont work on 3.5mm as that cannot be picked up as 2 devices by your computer. The way the mix works is that your headset is recognized as 2 audio output sources by your computer through USB, one is set as "Default Communication Device" (For voice chat such as discord, skype etc.) and the other one is set as "Default Device" and picks up everything except for the chat. That way you can change the volumes individually

There are a couple changes in the audio of the models. The Quantum 400's add a balance dial controls audio mix for gameplay and chat. They also have DTS headphones:X v2.0 for virtual surround sound (i.e. helping with movies and other surround sound audio). Do either of those sound like abilities that will benefit you with your listening preferences?

If the connections you are trying to connect to are 3.5mm inputs/outputs, I don't see why they wouldn't work for that application!

If your mixer supports the 3.5mm connections, you can use them; but, a Pro Studio or DJ specific headphone option will work better.

i got the 400, here are some real facts, about these 1, they are not comfortable, you get sweatty ears, within a hour or 2 because of the fake (plastic) leather. 2, for the same money you can buy a better headset 3, even with the quantum sound 7.1 turned on, they sound hollow and not nice 4, they all feel very cheap, and too much plastic. 5, the mic is absoluuutly rubbish, i had a "wind" noise in my first jbl 400, i returned it to the shop, and got a new pair, and guess what this one had the same thing, and i tested 2 of my old headsets and their mics were fine!. anyone telling you anything else, 1, they get paid to do that 2, they have not used them at all they are cheaply made in china.. give this brand a pass, go for a other brand!. i expected a lot for my 85 euro, i got 15 euro headset in return.....

@@jabronski614delostrinos5 I've had a Corsair Void PRO USB for the past 2 years, and recently i broke the cable and I've tried 2 different headsets. Here's what i learned: Don't get anything from HyperX, Their software is a fucking joke. I got the "Cloud Alpha S" and the audio is shit, Its tinny with no base whatsoever and there's nothing you can do about it. The microphone is also really bad and i've gotten a lot of complaints from my friends in discord. The headset goes for €145 but it really feels like a €30 headset on all aspects. I will never recommend the brand to anyone, overpriced junk. The Logitech G Pro X is absolutely amazing, with one HUGE problem. The audio was amazing, the microphone was amazing and the software was amazing. You could tailor the headset to exactly how you wanted it. I had nothing bad to say about the headset until it suddenly stopped working after 2 days. The right earcup just stopped working and that's a very common issue on the Logitech G Pro headsets. Hence why i would NEVER recommend them to anyone. Some people have had the headset for over a year before the right one failed, others for a few hours or even broken out of the box. Either way it will fail. (Google and see for yourself) Even though i don't want to, because they are ugly, i will buy another pair of Corsair Void PRO's. They are not the best, the audio is decent and same goes for the microphone, but they deliver what you expect from a €80 headset. 2 of my friends have them too and they say the same thing. Its an ugly ass headset but it's pretty good for the price. The only thing to think about is that if you move around a lot the headset is going to move as well, its not very snug but for long gaming sessions that is good in my opinion.

these headphones are the biggest garbage I have bought in my life. The sound is just average. The quality of the plastic - 1000. They only fell out once and the plastic broke. Now they are unusable, there are no spare parts. I am disappointed to the max.
