JBL SRX 815 vs. EAW fr153z

The JBL has a more tin can naisely type of sound, but on the contrary the EAW sounds a little held back or muffled even though it's vocals and some treble seem to still come through. So the JBL sounds more like what you would hear at a concert, and the EAW sounds more like what you would hear at home. I actually like the JBL sound as it is designed to project the vocals, and also the instruments (guitars, keyboards, brass, etc). That's why the mid frequencies roughly 500hz-1khz give or take are much louder on the JBL than the EAW. May God bless and keep you all. Jesus is coming soon.

The EAW has mids that are missing in the JBL - the EAW will produce more realistic live vocals, and at higher levels they will sound better. FWIW, I have used the 153's before for a live gig and they sounded wonderful! Very smooth and listenable. I also use to own the 253's - they were killer, but way too heavy (about 165 lbs!) for me to lift on top of subs.

@@thomasshannon2876 The 153 is smoother but it a 3 way vs a 2 way box. When I compared the 153 with my SRX 835 3 way, they were a closer match.

@@MasterDJRenn True, and you will get more output from the 835. The 153 is not a very high output box.

@@thomasshannon2876 Correct the 835 has quite a bit more out but. I’ve since bi amped the box and replace the 15 driver with and 18sound 15nmb1000 neo driver. Output increased substantially.

Allergies JBL's holding up I just changed the crossover into EAWs to 1800 watts 900 watts IMS and going to put a new 15 in there

True the EAW does sound better in my opinion, you also have to remember the JBL is a 2 way box vs. 3 way for the EAW. The JBL doesn’t sound horrible and it’s quite a few db louder.

EAW fr153z jest trójdrożny! Dźwięk jest więc nieco ładniejszy. Umieść 3-kierunkowy JBL, a usunie ENA. Obecnie nie ma lepszego głośnika niż JBL SRX815 czy 812.
