Wish I could hear the Synthesis line somewhere. I live in Minnesota. Been a JBL fan since the mid 90s. I use JBL speakers both for home audio and car audio. Love the bright JBL sound.

the most difficult act is to choose between SCL 6 vs SCL2 for a given room size of 5700Cuft of room volume. 4 vs 2 subs is the second biggest challenge, yes it does reduce the bass peaks but the difference is just not perceptible for a normal movie buff.

The SLC-2 does have a much better driver set, so not only can they produce more SPL, they also sound a lot better. You are right on the 2 vs 4 subs, but if you can swing 4 the bass is more effortless with more impact. Thanks for watching

@@AudioAdvice that’s very strange cause when I asked google that same question, they replied to me with this…. Yes, JBL Synthesis speakers use compression driver technology in both their woofers and tweeters: Woofers For example, the JBL Synthesis SCL-6 speaker has four 5.25-inch woofers made of cast frame and Advanced Aluminum Matrix cone. The JBL Synthesis SCL-5 speaker has a 7-inch aluminum matrix woofer. Tweeters For example, the JBL Synthesis SCL-6 speaker has a 1-inch 2410H-2 compression driver tweeter.

@@AudioAdvice I am also worried that these JBL Synthesis speakers may sound harsh on the top end with their compression tweeter. I’ve never listened to them, so I don’t know what to expect from their overall sound. Can you give me an idea of their sound signature, as far as their dynamics, soundstage, and distortion when playing at high levels? And, if they sound harsh or not. Am honest and unbiased sales opinion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

@@albertelazar4069 We understand your concern as there are some speakers with compression tweeters that sound harsh. To our ears, these are the opposite of this. JBL compression drivers are very smooth and sweet. Hope this helps

I was viewing the JBL Synthesis SCL-3 model, and I am wondering if this is better suited for LCR than the JBL SCL-4 as the wave guide appears to be wider on the SCL-3.

If you have the stud depth, it is a great speaker, but it needs a 6" deep stud bay. The SCL-4 works in more applications. Thanks for watching

Hello...I am about to start construction work on my house...I want to know the ideal room size for home cinema... I am looking at length 18 to 20ft, width 14 to 16ft and height 9 to 11ft... Space is not going to be a problem... Looking to use in wall and in ceiling speakers.
