Don't forget about one, crucial issue: unlike Xtreme 3, Xtreme 4 is MONO! For me it's a deal breaker, as JBL chintzed out the big time. *Definitely, Xtreme 3 is a better option*

Almost the same set up as the Xtreme 3, the difference here is the output for each woofer and the battery capacity. The output in the X3 is 25 Watts x Woofer but 20 Watts in the X4, the battery for X3 is just 5000 mAh half of the X4.

Out of topic (kinda) but I think for the Charge 6 they should add a mid range driver like on the Boombox 3 (1 tweeter over the midrange driver) keep the race track woofer and just that.
