Check out his performance of Malagueña from an episode of the Odd Couple. It's so good because you can tell when the actors stop acting and they just start enjoying the music.

Roy Clark was a great entertainer, humble man & super talented. He was both a singer & musician. His guitar & banjo playing are legendary. A lot of musicians & artists today could learn a lot from his style & technique. Glen Campbell & Jerry Reed were also underrated guitarists. But these men paved the way for a lot of musicians today.

Roy Clark, member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, can play almost anything with strings, check out him and Buck Trent doing Dueling Banjos, or him and Johnny Cash doing The Orange Blossom Special. Great reaction and glad people are finding out what talent people like him had. He hosted a country music variety show called Hee Haw for about 20 years

A brilliant Johnny Cash song you should listen to him singing it from a prison
@llschnitz Жыл бұрын
This was Johnny Cash's hit song. He is goofing on it and changing some of the lyrics to make it funny. Also, he keeps telling "Luther' to play. Luther is Johnny's guitarist, and Johnny usually calls Luther's name out when he plays. Roy became a huge star as a comedian on one of the longest running TV shows in history, the country music variety show "Hee Haw" whidh your parents or grandparents probably watched from time to time. He did play on the show, but most people didn't realize what a phenomenal guitarist Roy is. Along with Glen Campbell and Chet Atkins, he is one of the very best country music guitarists there ever was. Or any other kind of guitarists for that matter. He is a GOAT.

Don't set the bar too high. It's a long way to Rome. No one gets there in one day. Just set out to shorten the distance a little each day. That's good enough.

If you'd like to see another guitar solo by Roy, I would recommend his performance of "Malaguena". He's absolutely incredible. There are a couple better versions out there, than the one he did on "The Odd Couple" though. That one was great, but quite a bit shorter than some others. I would suggest kzbin.info/www/bejne/hquVmYt_bLOsb6s. It's a live performance.
