Funny thing your not far off. That is what correct craft did to them. The guy who started Centurion boats actually went to Correct Craft first and try to build under their name, but the Meloons said it would never work and told him to kick rocks. They then started making their own boats and built a name for themselves in the industry. And now Correct Craft owned them.
@annoyboyPictures5 ай бұрын
🤣Its easy to copy the hull, but that's probably as far as you could get on a small scale. I think it would be practically impossible to source and install all the electronics and mechanics of the boat.

@@nicholasastleford5880 I have a 2020 21 ZX. Looked at moving over to Supra for 2022...took deep dive's into there construction and preferred the value/cost/fantastic wave on my Tige. Looked at Centurion..and they are SICK but zero dealer support on Wisconsin for repairs/servicing. So ordered a 2022 Z3. It showed up in November and since that's winter here in Wisconsin I haven't even seen it as it's still shrink-wrapped till April. $130,000 boat paid for and I haven't touched it.

I liked the video overall. But you kaleidoscope speed flashing through the color samples was really annoying because I did not really have a chance to get a decent look at them and just how nice they are. We did not get a chance to see just how nice these boats really are. Lots of nice details of the boats just flashed by. The metal flake blue hull was stunning! Glad to see bright colors instead of everything being a shade of gray or black. Now I am going back and rerun the interesting parts in 1/4 speed to see if I can get a good look at the interesting bits.

How do they stop the paint from sticking to the mould? That fascinates me so much how that's done.
@jboneill2 жыл бұрын
I believe it was waxed with mold release wax. I’m not an expert, so you’d definitely have to look that up for the perfect answer
@adamwaz56152 жыл бұрын
@@jboneill so do they pray the layers of gel coat in the mould first followed by the colour after that?
@peglegtoo2 жыл бұрын
@@adamwaz5615 The dyes are added to the gel coat so it is the color. Followed by the fiberglass layers. Its all layered up before each preceding layer dries so it becomes chemically one piece/structure.
@adamwaz56152 жыл бұрын
@@peglegtoo so do they do that process 9 times as in 9 layers of gel coat? That seems very labour intensive. That would be awesome to see 🤙
@peglegtoo2 жыл бұрын
@@adamwaz5615 I think Hulls are usually just a couple of colors. They tape it off to create the graphics/ where they want one color to end and the next to begin. each section is then sprayed the prescribed color ( some graphics are also vinyl stickers added later as well) . Then yes, the rest of the hull is layered up fiberglass, I am not sure how many layers but I would think 5 or 6 anyway. its incredibly labor intensive. the benefit, because each previous layer is not fully cured the next layer bonds chemically to it so its incredibly strong. I am not sure what gel coat is but I think of it as colored resin.
