i have never thought about it. thanks for opeing my eyes as this is a very important thing in wakeboarding. if you can make a video about how to increase ollie power (height), what boards are better to get higher ollies, what special tips you have for ollie, that would be great. good job, keep up bro!

Colton Meeks the rope stretches at cable so you sort of have to just keep pulling even if it starts to bungee away, also if you edge somewhat hard then back off last second it can help sometimes!

What exactly do you mean by hard edge? Is it to lay my back lower, so I'm almost laying down on the water before I hit the kicker as I was going to air raley or do you mean start carving towards the kicker later instead of progressively? I feel like sometimes I go bigger then others just because of the way I approach the kicker.. but I can't say why.. I should've pay attention to physics class 😅
@jboneill2 жыл бұрын
If you have a stronger faster edger at the kicker, you will be hitting it with more speed, so in theory you should go higher lol

Cool! Somehow I always forget to actually pop. It seems your landing is rather flat on the water, but some people tell me i have to land on my back foot first to soften the landing, is that right? Could you make a How To for Raleys? and please also include raleys from kickers and the raley start ^^
@jboneill5 жыл бұрын
Yeah you would land a bit softer when landing rear foot first, I land flat a lot if I want things stomped, a lot of times landing too rear foot heavy can cause butt checking. I don’t really focus on that a whole lot, I mainly try and land stabile so my knees are safe. I would mainly avoid landing front foot heavy. Yeah I have already filmed the kicker Raley tutorial, comes out in a couple weeks I think :)

hi JB,does “both hand on the handle” help pop higher?
@jboneill4 жыл бұрын
probably not lol
@LifetimeShred5 жыл бұрын
Hey JB, thanks for the video. This question might deserve its own tutorial, but it is related. I'm curious on what angle we should be taking the kicker at. For example some people say lower inner corner to upper outer corner. Some say it depends on the trick. How does this affect the pop and then getting a nice skimming landing?
@jboneill5 жыл бұрын
TheLoungeSBS it really depends on how hard you are trying to send lol, corner to corner would really get you up there, but also the tension will be a lot tighter making handlepasses and other things harder to do. But yeah pushing is the best way to get pop and then depending on what you are doing either edge hard or soft
@LifetimeShred5 жыл бұрын
JB ONeill thanks for the advice. I’ll focus on a solid push. The idea of not waiting till the very end really resonated with me.
