Heres my idea to fix it: keep the reload, double the shot duration (shoots like 50 bullets then reloads, change it to 100) and change it so you have to hold down the button to keep firing (same idea as the lucifer no idea why they didn’t do it like that) I get why they gave it a reload as it would be way too powerful heat based, but a burst style minigun in which you can’t stop firing? Ridiculous.

​@@lambert_the_reckless993 Kaiju only deals 600-800 non-explosive damage per burst (with perk),a single Devourer can deal 1200 damage with each barrage (no perk), And they deal +2400 damage (no perk) for a lil' price of 2+ energy than kaiju if im not wrong. The damage of 2 of them with perk is pretty variable bc of the explosive,penetration and effect shots.

I think somthing JB forgot to mention is that if you delay the perk of one of your 2 devourers and you keep hitting your shots then one devourer will always have the perk henceforth doing even more damage on average

Keep in mind that you will NOT have a reload of 2.28 seconds once you put a second devourer on the Hadron build. The second one will slow it down further.

So yesterday went into Levi Wars (CW) and fought a few teams who had these on their adds and boy, they can really F up a Levi’s day. So in that particular game mode I’d say they’re quite strong. Regular pvp, on the other hand, is a different story. Personally I kinda hate having a minigun with a reload mechanic. I mean, that’s literally the whole point n purpose of a bloody minigun is *_that it doesn’t stop firing_* I’m not sure what the devs were thinking on this one (if at all). It’s got a great visual design and even like the sound buuuut, overall? They dropped the ball. Which is hardly a shocker nowadays. Solid vid as usual JB 👍🏼

Not a CW/ high PS player, but I agree, the whole purpose of a minigun is to fire continuously. You either want a weapon that hits hard once, to then hide to avoid getting hit, or you want something that fires for long , even though it takes damage (like the dracos do) And being in between the two is the stupidest idea.

Yeah, they are pretty underwhelming. I rate the reapers higher, A lot less expensive, easier to understand its perk, and A LOT EASIER TO USE AND HANDLE! This is one of the relics that we have gotten in a while that actually sucks on release. If we could control the fire instead of it being automatic (once it reloads it acts like the current reaper), then it would maybe justify the reload. If it was fully like the reaper, just a spool up time and continues fire (and relying on ammo crates for ammo) and the perk would activate after X shots hit, then it would kinda obsolete the punisher, which might be why they made it like that. But when they work, they destroy.

Okay so out of an entire day it is 0.01 out of 5 minutes it is 2% of your time reloading and that's only the first time you reload

Oh no, its not exactly the same as the reaper. Oh no, it requires a small amount of skill because you can't spray and pray. The weapon is good so long as you have cognition and basic motor function.

i think DEVOURER is another failed weapon, I tried it and it feels worse than reaper. The only improvement over the reaper is in spread and damage(With reaper being 10 and Devourer being 48).The fact that Devourer needs to reload and cannot control the discharge of bullets after activation is a weakness that makes you lose. Enemies can wait for you to activate your weapon, then take cover, and return to attack while you're reloading. Initially, I saw that Devorer had 2 guns and thought it would fire both to increase speed, but in reality only the top gun is active and the bottom gun is just a cool skin.

On Mars slit spider it literally with one perk burst can kill and entire hover build straight through the front of it. In my opinion the guns damaged is broken. But it's versatility is balanced.
