Hi. I've been watching videos after videos of CVT s, mainly large ATVs or UTVs. My issue on my 2016 Cub-Cadet Challenger 750 crew is...I want to take off quicker without having to give it 3/4 - full throttle and without engine at high RPMs. Its taking a while, too long, to get to lets say 20-25mph, then backing off throttle to get the RPMs back down and maintaining my 20-25mph cruise speed. I don't want to take off spinning, or 90% of time I don't do that and I could care less how fast it runs, just as long as I can get up to 20-25mph quicker at less RPMs and be able to let off throttle quicker. This UTV I lucked up on . It only had 270miles on it. He said he barely used it and its been taken care of. I have seen about changing the weight of roller weights, seen adding a shim or two on the primary. I had a grizzly 660, 2008 model that I was told, it used almost Identical setup and it didn't do this. I would think the shims would cause the belt in primary to ride lower, am I wrong on that? I put new belt on it and did the break in on belt, after cleaning sheaves, wiped them with Scotch Guard as well. The weights are the stock 18g. I haven't done much to the secondary but made sure it was riding up and down as far as it should. Sorry about this lengthy message but I hope you understand and can tell me what I can do?.....I actually don't think it will take much, its just a aggravating and loud. Shims may be just enough for what I want and a lot cheaper than rollers...lol. I didn't ask the prev owner if he changed oil. I know it uses a wet clutch safe oil. I would think if an anti friction oil was in it, it would cause it to slip some but haven't gotten into these CVTs this far before. Thanks for for your video and it made sense .

Reving high on takeoff is usually a wet clutch issue if you want to tear it down and take pics and send it to my cell phone the number is on the web and I will check it out and we can go from there after I see pics

Just recently starting following but I've watched EVERY SINGLE video the last 2-3 weeks. Must say it threw me for a loop. Everytime I've seen you, you've been standing over some shiny, futuristic, piece of metal that you've somehow managed to make far outperform predecessors. Maybe it's because the you put so much time into it and did so much for it but I feel this is the first video I've seen where I didn't see your excitement to show us something freakin' awesome that you figured out! lol That being said, today I'll be contacting you about hookin' up my Rhino-7 with those sweet, shiny, discs :)
