He looks a bit awkward there alone with his installation but what he achieved is really unique! Congratulations 😊

My dream contact! Sad that they do this very seldom.

Yes it is an amazing feeling. Keep your eyes on the various AMSAT forums (twitter/amsat-bb) to find out when they are active and one day you will do it.

HOLY COW!! WAY TO GO JOHN! Living the dream with that contact. I am surprised that you got out your equipment just for a random ISS pass. It's all about luck! Hope you make many more! 73 de KE0STO

Thanks Kees... it was not completely random, just unscheduled. Serena had worked a few Saturday morning passes in previous weeks and I went out hoping she was on this Saturday morning pass and she was. Thank you though!

Congrats. I still am hoping to make a contact with an astronaut. Hopefully, they will come on the air this weekend for the SSTV. Thank you!

@@genesisarcherrivera2323 Unfortunately I can't talk to astronauts everyday. I have only talked to them randomly/unscheduled one time in five years of operating amateur satellites. I have shown ISS SSTV to people in a park one time, to kids and their parents, and they were very impressed. :-)
