31K now! I found this as I am getting into my '57 resto again and the king pin front end is something I have not gone beyond disassembly to see what's going on. I wanna get this right. Thanks guys and I will be ordering parts soon.

Hi I heard when you use the o ring and grease caps you have to use less shims? So less then 10 because the cap and o-ring also need place and your settings will change?

Perhaps, as 1960 and newer link pins only use 8 shims per pin, not the 10 shims like on the older models.

What size of tire you recommend after installing front disc brake kit and 2.5 inch dropped spindles

145SR15 or 135SR15 tires are the most commonly used tires on the front of lowered Beetles. Personally I prefer a wider tire but those sizes vary drastically depending on the wheel width, diameter and offset.

Thanks for replying man I bought some 15.6” Fuchs replicas some one told me I have to narrow my beam or I’ll have tire rubbing the fender and headlight bucket 😅

@@EduardoRodriguez-px3yx It depends, possibly it all depends on the offset of the wheel, and of course tire size. I'd start by mocking up the wheel and going from there. If the wheel sticks out past the fender, you'll probably want to go to a narrowed beam.

I bought 145/65r15 tires for the front and 205s for the back I think the offset of the wheel is 36 I will go to the shop later today and do as you told with the wheel

No they will not work there different completely but if you just cut off the bump stops on your beam and adjust the tortion bars the standard way you can get it as low as you want for free
