Love the new video! I’m currently in the middle of my 12 volt conversion on my 63’. Bought most of my parts from J Bugs. Currently working on mine, hands greasy! Thanks J Bugs and not sure your name for this video! Inspiration is half the battle! Cheers!

Good deal. I changed my ‘63 bug to 12volt generator. Then to 12v alternator. First 12v headlights then 12v halogen headlights then the halogen H4 conversion. I can see! It’s nothing but great. Do some long distance driving especially coming home late from car shows. 👍

Hope I learned something. I’ve had my ‘63 for 27yrs. A shop put on a “Monza “(their term) exhaust on her about 25 yrs ago. Been thinkin lately about a new exhaust. Thanks👍

Absolutely, as long as your 63 has a 1300 or larger engine, this is an option to consider.

What are the jack lift points on the bug?
@Sam_MebaneКүн бұрын
Ideally under any suspension mounting point. Either the beam and it's supports (or the control arm mounting points for a super) in the front, or the transmission cross brace or rear torsion housing in the rear.

The exhaust seems to fit quiete nicely. Remember back in my days, most of the Supersprint, Sauer & Sohn and Abarth exhaust won't perceive that well. Also, sound is good., Tips also...is that all stainless ?
@Sam_Mebane4 күн бұрын
The tips are stainless, the pipes and exhaust are mild steel, painted with a very good high temp paint which still doesn't show any signs of being run.

What can I soak the intake in to get out the carbon?
@Sam_Mebane4 күн бұрын
Acetone is a good chemical for cleaning out carbon deposits, and not horribly expensive.

Hello my friend, what is the purpose of the tube in the rear door? I speak from Brazil, sorry for my bad English
@Sam_Mebane4 күн бұрын
If you're referring to earlier videos on this same car, the tube in either quarter panel is a sunroof drain tube.
