Of course you were touched by her comment because of your caring spirit, but I think you answered her the only way you could.

I think we all need to remember that you have no control over what shops sell your patterns to us for and she really should have know what the shop was going to charge if she paid more than what she thought she should pay she should talk to the shop. All of your patterns are just beautiful.

Happy New Year, Judy! Inspiration from seeing finished pieces is always welcome! I usually try to complete a few ornaments after Christmas each year while I am still surrounded by our decorations. I put them into a box of finishes, ready to b made into ornament gifts for next year. I stitched your Love design in 2024 and plan to make it into a small pillow this year.

Hi Judy, as someone living in Scotland I can confirm your designs can be very hard to find and often the postage is more than the booklet. For me, I love when designers offer PDF's ... the price is reasonable, no waiting time or postage costs. I love your designs but have only ever stitched 1 of them due to the costs. I dont think that helps with your actual question of how to respond to your customer but it may discourage LNS's being able to mark up their charts so dramatically 😊 ... love all of your video's ... thank you ❤

Hi Judy - About the price - You charge X to the distributor. The distributor charges X + 1 to the shop. The shop charges X + 1 + 1 to the customer. The distributor charge is eliminated when you sell directly to a shop. Then you have to add shipping, handling, maybe taxes, maybe customs charges. Your correspondent should address her question to the shop where she bought the patterns and ask them what charges were included in the final price. Then she can decide if she wants to shop there in future or maybe come to some arrangement with them. She should also look at the exchange rate - maybe that is the problem. Good luck with a very "sticky wicket" situation - as the Brits call it!!🤣

Pricing by a shop is definitely out of the designers control. Maybe suggest that she search other Cross stitch stores and see what they charge in her country and in America to compare. 🤷🏼‍♀️ But that is a matter that she needs to take up with her shop. On 123Stitch, the Christmas Ornaments V is priced at $18.00 Oh December birthdays!!! My parents had 3 of us in Dec, I was one My husband and I had 2 children born in Dec and of course me Father in law was December And three of my nieces and nephews were December also. Total of 9 Birthdays for December, on top of all the other events that’s a lot of celebrating in December! 💤💤

Judy, I would like to see more pdfs, eliminates postage costs and wait times for shipping. You would still charge your retail price. I have on occasion seen price stickers over printed price, and the sticker price is higher. That is completely out of your control.
