@@I_WANT_MY_SLAW No, but Karen Chasez is such a cute person. She adopted JC when he was 5 and had fostered his biological mother years before. Both Karen and Roy persued an artistic career only when JC wanted it, never forced anything on him. And JC is a guy with a good head on his shoulders even with all the worldwide fame he got while he was young. A true gentleman. Nowadays she is the Mayor of a town in Florida.

I have a lot to say on this. I remember EVERY detail of this day. Every thought and feeling. I initially became a clinical mental health counselor to work with a population of patients who experienced crisis events like 9/11. What JC did in the aftermath of this horrific event is what I work with every day. He walked with individuals who experienced this first hand. He listened and empathized and used this strenthd to lead and adcicate for people there (and all of us) by helping create a concert for betterment of all involved. I wonder if he knows he was doing exactly what I do everyday. I hope he is recognized in some way for doing this! What frustrated me most in the situation was how so many people were unsympathetic and cruel where I worked making comments such as, "why would I be upset", "why was I crying I didn't personally know anyone there". I have never understood how any one could ever ask these things so cold heartedly! I watched the live footage of the second plane hit the towers. I watched the footage of the plane hit the pentagon. I saw the wreckage from flight 53 the same as JC did. I lived in Louisville, Kentucky at the time. I found out several weeks later my class valedictorian, whom I had known from first grade to our senior year, and her husband were in each of the buildings. They were the lucky ones and gone out. There's a documentary she was part of where she talks about her experience in this horrific event. She was on one of the floors in close proximity were one of the planes hit. She stated the emergency intercoms instructed individuals to go back to their floors! She trusted her instincts and got put. The majority of her office was killed. Her husband was in the second building and the same happened to him. Another friend of mine was having brain surgery at the time at one of the hospitals in NYC. Many of the individuals at the Pentagon who had worked in the same battalion as my father were there. He knew several people killed. One of the regulars who took my spinning class had a cousin was killed outside one of the towers. Anyone with a heart was effected. I have "loved JC forever" because of his amazing voice and talent. I have felt he always poured his heart out in every song and performance. I saw N'SYNC at birthday bash, in Louisville, before they were famous around 1998. His heart and talent was evident from the beginning. I am glad I was not wrong in learning on in life what a stand up guy he is, evenmoreso from this video. Actions speak louder than words. My appoligies for the length to anyone who has read this thus far. I normally do not comment on videos. JC's emotions and thoughts brought me back to where I was on this horrendous day. I felt compelled to speak on it.

I was only ten when 9/11 happened... but I clearly remember everything I saw and where I was. I was in 5th grade and we were sent home immediately when the principal gave an emergency announcement. The teachers refused to tell us no matter how many times we asked. There was a TV in the library and some kids sneaked in and saw it and they all were screaming and crying and begging for their parents. That's when I knew something really bad was and for the first time in my life, I wasn't just scared for myself. I was scared for my parents, big brother and big sister who's autistic. Once my bus got to my house I ran in, and yelled for my mom. She was on the phone with my sister's school and my brother was in the den with the TV on and that's when I saw the WTC burning and I asked my brother how did they get on fire like that. He said it wasn't a fire. Someone took two planes and crashed them into each tower. I was in utter shock. As a kid, I had no idea what to think of that. I tried to think positive and say, ok, it may take time for the firemen to get up there and help put out those fires... then that was when the South Tower fell... I could not believe it. I knew at that moment, so many people died. I started crying and was very scared what was gonna happen. I live on Long Island, NY which is about three hours from the city, fighter jets were scrambled over our skies that night out of fear and they did not wanna take any chances of more surprise attacks. It was one of the scariest days of my life... 20 years later... I am still haunted by 9/11 but I cannot forget what I witnessed and I'm not afraid to share it. I'm proud of JC for sharing his story of where he was that day and he's still to this day my fave *NSYNC member. He's too pure for this world. RIP to the innocent souls who perished that day. Prayers.

So many years later and you still get choked up listening to these types of stories. It's incredible learning the lengths he went through to try and connect with people in such a horrific time. I think I was in high school when the attacks happened and I remember coming home from school and it still being on the news and my mom was watching and telling me what happened. My first reaction was to say "Oh my god" because it really doesn't seem real. And it was kind of off-putting to me to have her correct my reaction to it so I just kind of brushed off the entire situation and walked out of the room. I followed up with everything on my own, and years after that I would watch the memorial videos about it and the documentaries and go through rabbit holes on here watching different videos about it. I feel like every year you know the anniversary is coming up and it just gets kind of heavy. People are still grieving over this massive loss but it was also a time where so many people came together to help one another and that in itself is a very beautiful thing.

I believe. I was going too school that day I woke up at 8:30 a.m. too get ready. I went on ahead and went too school. Living in the Bay Area Mayor Willie Brown shut down S.Francisco, absolute no access too The Bay Bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge/& B.A.R.T shut down. Part of the Freeway's were closed and then some were open. I do remember offering up a Prayer that was because with all the shock and horror with the unfolding Crisis and people in New York/Pennyslvania/& D.C. and the Families shattered I just asked The Lord please don't let a Earthquake. NY/Pennyslvania/D.C. they all needed the emergency resources and supplies. yeah even that hour's of Fear/Grief/outrage/pain/& shock I myself needed to Pray.

I think it's kind of sweet that he thinks people were jumping out of the building hoping to survive. The truth of the matter is that they were hoping to die quickly and painlessly rather than be tortured in a slow and painfull death by burning alive. They had to pick their poison. They knew their fate that day was to die but they had a choice in the method. I couldn't even imagine their fear. Just awful

So jc was actually in Times Square on 9/11, unless after the performance NSYNC went straight to the airport on 9/10/01 at 1 in the morning and went to florida and got there just in time to see the events on the tv screens at the airport.
