TRANSMISSION
The JCB synchroshuttle transmission provides superb drive power in all conditions. It consists of a 4-speed, fully synchromesh, smooth shift gear box with integral torque convertor and electrically operated reversing shuttle.
• Easy-to-use, column mounted electric reversing shuttle switch can change machine direction while allowing the operator to keep hands on the steering wheel, leading to fast cycle time.
• The pedals’ layout and conventional 4-pattern gear lever with transmission disconnect switch adds to the overall ease of operation. On-the-move gear changes are possible.
• Bigger effortless foot throttle pedal. • Torque converter stall ratio is 3.01:1.
How does JCB transmission work?
It contains two set of gears. The inner gear is rotated by the torque convertor. The second gear is mated with the inner gear, upon rotation of inner gear it rotates the outer gear. By rotation of gears the suck the oil from one chamber and pump them out through the other chamber.

These compact powershift transmissions with torque converter drive are designed to give uninterrupted power by utilising electro hydraulically controlled clutch packs for reversing and smooth gearshifting. For maximum reliability power is transmitted by constant mesh gearing and multi-plate clutch packs.
