JCB FASTRACS CART FORD FW30 AND TW25 TO CEREALS

Hello George,was your fw30,one of the 4 bought by co-op farms in Essex back in the 80's,if my memory serves me right they had two 30's and two 60's and they worked around the Willingale,Fyfield,Ongar area,if it was l sat watching them work for a long time,with a very big set of discs,what a blast from the past, great video's.Cheers Andy

The 903 really sounds good. I am surprised you can carry so much on a trailer like that. Your oversize rules must be a fair bit more relaxed than ours. I have driven a Steiger PT270 (Cat motor) which was probably about the same power as the FW. From memory it had a Road Ranger main gearbox probably 9 speed as you would find in trucks but it is a long time ago.

Hi George What hp is the fw putting out? My dad used to drive a Steiger panther st 325 down in Suffolk

The panther must be equivalent to an FW60, the FW30's that were brought to the UK were uprated to 295hp. The US FW30's were 265hp👍

All fastracs like mine up to about 2010 had manual gearboxes. After that they introduced a full power shift and then roughly in 2015 they moved to a full CVT range👍
