Before I get more mentions of it, my old 2007 Ratchet is missing a piece. He's missing the black covering for his head in vehicle mode, that would flip back and allow for his weapon to store in robot mode. I got this figure years and years ago and simply forgot my copy was incomplete making this video. Sorry guys! Hope you enjoy!

dude you just unlocked a core memory for me the voyager ratched was one of my absolute favorite toys as a kid, i have no idea what happened to it my uncle gave it to me for my 8th birth day and i was constantly playing with that for that entire year, i didnt even remember it was ratchet all i could remember was that it was green and had those bars and the fact that it was so much bigger than any other transformer i had

I actually got the studio series dark of the moon version of Ratchet. To me, that’s my prefer one because I like the green on the figure. And also because he comes with the movie accurate gun for him

Ah jeez I had the white and red rescue Ratchet I remember wishing they had just made him that color in the movie lol but now I love the Bay designs Ratchet was awesome in the movies I have the dark of the moon studio series it’s awesome but I’ve always preferred the pizza cutter weapon the 07 studio series Ratchet came with

My uncle gave me 2007 ratchet one time and I loved it, I loved how you could switch the hand into his gun/saw and how he was big as heck for no reason, they gave everybody else a deluxe except ratchet, good times.

I’m sure someone already beat me to pointing it out, but there’s a piece missing on your voyager Ratchet that would allow weapon storage on the back and I like to split it open slightly over the wheels on his shoulders to be more film accurate

Nah you're the first. I totally forgot my copy was missing that back panel, the one that flips over his head in robot mode. Got the thing so long ago I had forgotten mine was missing. Oh well. lol

The 07 voyager Ratchet is my preference. He was one of my first bots.

Re: SS Ratchet's roof rollcage thingy, I discovered just today that it is attached with a few pegs and one easily-removed screw. After you take out the screw, it becomes a detachable piece which stays in fine, but is also easy to take off. In robot mode, pegs happily in the little hole in the middle of his back kibble. It doesn't completely eliminate the problem--you can still see his spare tire hanging down there--but it's not nearly so egregious. Without the screw, the spare tire can easily fall out of the roof assembly, so I recommend you glue it in if you decide to go with this fix.

ironhide's 07' toy is enjoyable only problem for me is the top of the truck keeps coming off if you touch it wrong. Aside from that it's good if it doesn't come off its definitely a product of the times like 07' Ratchet and jazz, but there is enjoyment to be had form my experience. Studio series is pretty good too. I would enjoy seeing an Old vs New for 07' Ironhide.

Your missing a piece in your 2007 ratchet. That piece covers the head and becomes the bottom of the hummer and also has a port to plug in the roof rail.

Old vs New Ironhide would be good. I had the night Ops version that was blue, it is definitely a cool mold in its own right. It’s still better than some of the later releases, in my own opinion.

Wow, nostalgia, studio series ratchet was my first transformer, sadly i broke the door hinge, so he doesn't have a door/wheel anymore so i need to find a new one 😢

The old one has a detachable bumper that says hummer on it and if you take the weapon and bumper off it just looks like a normal vehicle if you ignore the search and rescue details

I have the white and red repaint of the 2007 voyager but the original owner killed it, it's missing almost anything you need for the vehicle mode leaving it very skeletal when in vehicle mode, and it's missing an arm. I think I got it with a bunch of other used figures that were in good condition.

I just bought a 07 dotm voyager ratchet from ebay that was the best price for what state it was in , it’s missing an arm but I luckily bought an arm someone was selling as well but other than that most of the transformers figures I’ve seen on ebay were either severely dismantled or really broken and overpriced

The first wave of SS is bad (the quality) i bought SS 05 Optimus Prime and a few days of after owning it the chest came off and my dad glued and i touched so it's armless and chest less so yeah only the quality is bad of the first wave i even saw voyager ratchet on a secondhand site but it didint have it's leg or something :(

My SS05 Prime is in nearly perfect condition... aside from his whole ass neck ball joint being broken. Yeah the first wave of SS was very bad QC wise, I owned most of it and barely any of them are still in decent condition.

I never enjoyed any of the studio series ratchet figures as the quality of the 5 pack was shit and terrible, I broke him apart and I would rather get the rotf deluxe as it’s better and I have the G1 color version which is more fun.
