Walmart exclusives literally are why I don't buy new clones anymore. And let's be real, Hasbro does this because they know Walmart is the last retailer to support scalping and they want the scalpers to buy 100% of their stock.

Inconsistency with clones is what I find funny in Hasbro and LEGO. You would think the guys working on these will do insane research to make sure they get stuff somewhat accurate. I mean they have perfect reference material in the form of a full on tv show made years ago.

2 ways they could perfect the arc trooper mold. Give bigger shoulder pads, like in live action. Then make the helmets just a lil more screen accurate. Thatd make it great

Your comment on the lines on ARC troopers makes me wonder if the phase 1.5 in The Clone Wars animation was just plain inconsistent with the helmet and artstyle-choice, leading indirectly to what we have now. (Note: this is ultimately still Hasbro’s fault and I’m about to explain why lol) I mean the ARC trooper helmets for Fives and Echo had the black brow overtop too. But when they switched to full on phase 2, it was fixed to the proper artstyle. The same thing goes with the lines on the helmets too. I think canonically/in a live-action scenario, the lines are supposed to be on the phase 1.5 helmets. However, the Clone Wars was simply inconsistent with their design. This is further supported not just with all the Hasbro figures but also things like Battlefront 2 with their phase 1.5 ARCs (though then again they called them “phase 2” and never gave us actual phase 2 ARC skins lol). They gave the lines on sides of the helmet every time. Echo came from a wave/pack celebrating Clone Wars with the proper packaging for nostalgia. The ultimate problem here dials down to inconsistency of Hasbro wanting to adapt and use Clone Wars AND realistic looks at the same time.

I have Echo, but not Fives. I'm glad that I picked up Echo when he first came out. He would be impossible for me to get now otherwise.

So it turns out hasbro aren't the only ones to get the phase 1.5 helmets wrong, EA also did in Battlefront 2 where the phase "2" arc skins have the lines on the side of the helmet when they are actually the phase 1.5 helmet, so in a way it could be summed up to a stylistic choice they did with fives that they didnt do with echo for some reason

Weirdly enough the tvc fives also has the vent marks on the helmet. The only one who should have them (if they want fives and echo to match) is Jesse, yet he doesn’t have them in either scale. That’s pretty odd.

Honestly the accuracy issues I don’t mind😗😗 I prefer the Experimental Phase 1.5 Arc Trooper Helmets over the Phase 2 Arc Helmets! The same applies to standard clones as well with Phase 1 over Phase 2, who knows maybe the next Clone trooper we’ll get before Revenge Of The Sith’s 20th Anniversary might be an Arf Trooper, here’s how I would handle the Arf Trooper’s: I would just have the Phase 1 Clone’s as is but all ya gotta do is just pop in an Arf Helmet in along with the blasters that you could swap because of the removable helmets and boom you can switch your Clone Trooper to an Arf Trooper in a snip!👌😎🫴✨ and for the Vintage Collection Army Builder 4 Packs of Clone’s just have 1-2 Arf Helmets in just like how they handle the DC-15A Rifles and yes I refer to the carbine as a DC-15S and the rifle as a DC-15A Don’t question my logic or Rico will find and “kaboom” you at 3:00 AM!😳😳

Nice review as always JC. I just recently opened my fives and Jesse, and I was comparing them to echo as well. One thing I’ve noticed as well is that the white on echo’s helmet is more of an off white and the other two have more of a bright white. I was trying to see in this video and reference other pics of others if they have this as well. Did you or anyone else see any difference in the white of echo’s helmet compared to the other two?

If knowing the Transformers team is anything to go by, the designers absolutely get it and want to do their best. But the execs who sign off on things tell them to (pardon my French) fuck off and make it work as is. Legacy Breakdown is a quintessential example.

The Price on them is nuts and to include the Commando to be so high for an all white is crazy. Hasbro team is slacking every time. It shows they lost interest in clones and the details they all have and now it come to light they keep popping them out to make a quick buck on our behalf. Back to animation line to now they just show us they don’t care for the details but the price keeps going up..
