Thanks for the report Justin. I was thinking about heading to the metro park on Thursday. 10000000000% agree with picking up your trash anywhere you go!! I’m always leaving areas I visit with more than I left with. It’s not that hard to respect the outdoors!!

I'm 71 years old and have been fishing on anchor bay since I was a teen . So many times going on the ice, I would find small piles of small perch thrown on the ice, dead because someone didn't want to put them back in the hole for fear they would come back and steal their bait! That makes me very angry and discussed. People like that shouldn't have the right to have a fishing license.😮😢

My top complaint is the slobs followed closely by the guys that have to set up right on top of you. I always pick up trash on my way in and out. It's my little token of appreciation to Mother Nature😊

I have the same gripe as you, whatever you bring in, take out with you. There's already enough things polluting our waters, us outdoorsmen should be the last people to trash something we love.

When I was a kid growing up in Anchor Bay, seems like every other winter there was some clown with his truck on a block of floating ice and a rescue copter coming to rescue him. A few of them made national news. Haven't seen that recently.

Spear holes , mostly around FairHaven area. One video I saw spearing pike. They shove the blocks UNDER The ice. I commented about marking their hole . He responded saying they pull the blocks back into the open hole ( I believe that when I see it) and put SNOW AROUND THE OPENING. Bad If A Kid Falls In, HOW ABOUT US SENIOR CITIZENS .

It's a shame it's always been this way with people leaving their trash..... it actually seems to be getting worse every season. The trash is ALWAYS lighter that when you carried it out, so why is it so freaking hard to pick up and carry off to a trash can. I fished Fair Haven Sunday, and the ice was great 4-6 inches of hard ice.....
@RonWalters-f1d14 күн бұрын

The new owners are not opening it up to access. You’re gonna have to make your way from the Crocker boat launch to that area or down from Metro.

I couldn't agree with you more about the trash and junk on the ice AND BELLOW!!!!!!!! If you can't clean up after yourself, you have no right to be on the ice. Too many people take our freshwater lakes for granite. Go someplace that doesn't have what we do in our own back yards, the largest freshwater supply in the world and some of the best fishing too. Be respectful. I have been ice fishing for almost 60 years on St Clair and would like to think that my kids and grandkids will have the same opportunities in the next 60 years
