One of my favorite Balanchine pieces. He could do anything! Love Vera Zorina and the chemistry with Eddie Albert. Wonderful music. Clever choreo. Brilliant!

Kudos to Richard Rogers for this extraordinary piece of music composed I believe for “On Your Toes,” by Rogers and Hart. Miss Zorina was a primary ballerina. Was she Balanchine’s wife (Choreographer supreme) at the time? And most people associate Eddie Albert with the tv show Green Acres. He was a most talented showman. I’ve lived this all my life. I’m 75. I never tire of it ever. Genius.

As I said in my notes that is not Eddie Albert tapping. They substituted a real tap dancer from the waist down. He moves well but wasn't a dancer.
