@@ghiblet I would say they are discordant enough to be solos. They're really only sharing a rhythm, not much harmony. By your logic it isn't a guitar solo unless the bass and drums shut up.

I generally think of Jemaine as doing the best voices, and he does have a career as a voice actor. But they're both so damn good at everything. It's weird. They have such different looks, but they're essentially interchangeable.

Thanks to this I need them to made the score of a period movie or a parody period movie and that they starring it as the troubadours who follow the characters while playing and telling the story like the rooster in Robin Hood. I picture Jemaine as the over-confident one with his He-Man haircut and with a large pencil mostache, giving sassy smiles the whole time while Bret would be the shy one who's actually smarter, wearing a hat with a big feather on it.

I always get the impression that they dont follow the exact lyrics every performance. They know the songs so well that they improvise new jokes every performance and sing it a little differently. They probably practice many different performances of the same songs

They hardly ever cut out bits (unless they just not remember them) but they do improvise a lot and add things... Personally I think it's a better song when Brett is in it...
