So happy to see Or Encens get some love. Quietly, I think it's more artistic than Noir Ambre. I love pairing it with all black traditional Indian attire - have also received compliments when I have which surprised me since it is not what I would consider easy or mass appealing.

Encens Mythique... I was at a local retailer, trying different stuff that you recommended and every last one of them was captivating to say the least.. With trying multiple fragrances you get the infamous olfactory fatigue. I immediately head out because I don't want to affect my first impression of something as my nose is acting all weird. The sales woman who was with me picked up my taste and before I go she sprayed a paper with this and handed it to me, saying nothing.. I smelled it with half a nose and oh man... I loved it so much I came back and took a picture of it since the name was difficult for to memorize. Came back home and researched it and found it here i your video, recommending it.. You are truly the only fragrance icon that I would blind buy ANYTHING just because you recommended it. Big fan.

Encens Mythique is one of my favorites from Guerlain. Although incense is in the name, I mainly get the ambergris & aldehydes upfront, with the olibanum & rose sitting pretty in the background.

If we acknowledge and love it when we smell good to the point where people compliment us (including our wives and girlfriends), why do we pretend as if not smelling good due to the cologne we wear is not a thing?

I recommend you wear what smells *great* to you, and based on what you’ve said, I doubt that will be something stinky. Wearing what you love does not have to be equivalent to wearing something that smells vile to others. Your judgement and taste is your best friend.

Props to Jubilation xxv. Eagerly waiting for the extrait 40. Its unbelievable that you get 6-7 hours from the current formulation. Its a skin scent for me in under 2 hrs but one of the GOATs all across the land for me. Top 5.

Or encens isn't discontinued it's just a middle eastern exclusive from the issey miyake line along with Nior Ambre, so when they are available on discounters it's usually in limited supply till they restock in on more. Best to catch them when available off discounters.

Relique d'Amour! i love OLL fragrances. this kinda opens similar to its sister incense scent, Reve d'Ossian but RdO ends with a warm ambery tone while d'Amour finishes with powdery light white florals on my skin.

Of the incense dominant fragrances that I've tried, I'm really liking Ensens Suave. It's closer to a gourmand, and more for the cooler weather, but it's absolutely wonderful.

Said that, my first incensed cologne was Azzaro Decibel (descontinued, and I miss it...). I love using Bleu (Chanel), my current incense dose of the day. Congratulations for the channel! Oud Symphony by Precious Liquid. the Frankincense in this one is a banger. If you haven't reviewed or put your nose to this one I highly recommend. Their Tobacco Royal and Salt & Pepper are very good as well for their respective profiles.

I hadn't really thought about the incence thing before, but yeah, my perception of it is firmly rooted in my memory of the sandalwood incence sticks my sister (in her hippy days) used to burn in the '70s. She had a few more types I'm sure, but the sandalwood one is what my brain classes as "incence".

Bro...I just purchased a bottle of Issey Miyake encens I found at my local discounter Granted, it was 80$ it is worth every penny. Sprayed it, and immediately it took hold. Sweet jammy rose a mysterious smokey musk. Shame it was discontinued in 2018. I need to source a backup asap!!

To my nose, FRANCK OLIVIER Oud Touch has a lot of similarities to SWISS ARABIAN Shaghaf Oud, .. which i personally think it is redundant to have both of them at the same time (happened to be my case). Shaghaf Oud smells better if that difference (in the drydown) is not the determining factor.

Oracion sounds nice. Personally, I find a combination of woods and amber not all that enticing. It can be a great foundation to built something on, but by themselves it's a bit bland... Oracion sounds really original.

One of my favorite nuances is incense. However, it is in itself a vast array of resins and ingredients. Les Absolute D' Orient is a top notch collection from a top notch house. I don't remember smelling Encence Mythique (mystic incense) but I have Ambre Eternel and Patchouli Ardent and I also love Santal Royal. Interlude man is really good, all that opponax, incense and amber. Jubilation XXV is awesome, I haven't smelled the new one though. My top incense perfumes are Bois Maroccain and ebene fume. Some of my favorite incense perfumes are: Lalique Encre Noir a la' extreme and Come des Garcon 2. Oracion and Oud touch sound interesting. Oud Isphahan is lovely if a bit delicate but have no incense.

being raised in a village in Bavaria, Germany, incense was next to impossible to avoid (even not being an altar boy...). I recently found a parfum to deal with the childhood issue: aptly named "Cardinal" be James Heeley. Wow. Incense in the face in the beginning, but soon combined with a "white linnen-accord", spiced up with pepper and soon blended and rounded with vetiver, patchouli, grey amber. A composition that´s even wearable - even though Heeley suggests "immmaculate young priest" as association on his website (immaculate, but inappropriately sexy, I might ad...). He has a extrait version "Eau sacré", too, but that is so pure incense that I can´t imagine an opportunity to wear that - except perhaps the conclave to elect the new pope...🙂 overall i like incense for the reminescence of the two original functions of perfum: sacred rituals and erotic seduction (has there ever been an overlap??)

Those are all quite different from one another. Guerlain is a cleaner and bright citrusy Vetiver, TDH is an earthier and “dirtier” spicy Vetiver, and Beach Hut is a very green and woody mossy vetiver with a bit of a slightly sweet resinous feel.
