The minute it goes public they then start cutting what we’ve enjoyed to appease investors. Instead of users getting the benefit it’s moved to crying whining investors. Seemingly forgetting what it was that got them this valuation. When corners have to be cut to make dividends then the wheels start to wobble eventually falling off.

Companies go public to get cash. Cash comes with strings attached. Like playing by certain rules. If you dont want rules, use your own money. Space X needs cash badly, they will go public and then complain about the rules

Recently bought a used Starlink V2 on ebay at a discount price compared with the newer ones. Thought I'd take a chance and am pleased to say it's working beautifully. Went from the free RV parks wifi of 3 download to now averaging 90 download. I am ecstatic. Here on the northern Oregon coast with mountains, hills, and cliffs blocking cell signals and the monsoon rains, that little V2 is not bothered at all. Matter of fact it works just fine with thick stormy clouds over-head. Thanks to Elon Musk 's brilliant mind we all have internet access no matter where you are. And thank-you too Mr. Cristina for bringing forth these excellent videos and your wonderful presentation, so easy to understand!

Your description of the "recurring revenue model" reminds me of the old Ma Bell. In the 1980's I had a friend who was an engineer and his company had a phone system in his office that had been installed in the 1950's. Ma Bell had been broken up by the government recently and my friend wanted to update the capabilities of his phone system. In addition Ma Bell wanted to sell the system in his office to him. They offered the sale as though he had not ever paid them anything for the system. Now he had been paying rent on that system for approximately 30 years. When he asked for a discount because he had been paying rent over all that time, they would not allow a dime in discount. I don't remember what Ma Bell wanted for that 30 year old system but it was more that the cost of a a brand new phone system from a local business phone company and the new system had all the bells and whistles of the current technology.

I would definitely buy stock in Space X Starlink if there was an IPO. However, as you said, I don't believe Elon wants to relinquish control. He would open up the company to some ideas from the board that would end up harming the company, just to get more cash injection. I do believe though that splitting the two companies make sense. This way he could easily double the revenue Starlink is generating, and use a small percentage to help speed up the advancement of Space X rocket designs and production it would be a win win situation.

SpaceX and Starlink will stay combined. Starlink is keeping the flow of $$ as needed for SpaceX. And no Elon should not split them. Control is required for him to get what he really wants done, without shareholder or government input on ‘how to successfully run a company’

To make Starlink (and not SpaceX) public, they need to make Starship a reliable and easily reusable launch vehicle (at least 1.5-2 years), then they need to replace almost all v1 satellites to v2 and double the size of the constellation. They won't IPO before that.

My prediction is that Starlink will IPO in 2026 when they reach 10 million subscriptions. By then , starship will be mostly operational and will be launching version two starlinks. They will be in a much better financial situation and not losing millions, if not billions on starship testing. I would happily invest in the IPO. 🍀

Yes, I think Starlink to continue to grow. If I didn’t have access to broadband cable internet, I would definitely be a Starlink customer. I though am hoping I will get fiber run to the house from a competitor to Spectrum which is my cable provider. Spectrum has a monopoly here and I don’t think these monopolies should be allowed to be.. Elon Musk should keep most of his business private and not go public. He has so many enemies, he would be assaulted like Trump if he took all his business’s public.

Why no love for Ron Baron? His company's Baron Partners Retail BPTRX includes SpaceX and Tesla with some other tech firms. Yeah, it's not like directly owning shares, but I decided for my investing purposes that it beats not having any SpaceX at all. Your mileage may vary.
