I had a 1999 New Holland 654 that used twine and we used it from 2004 until 2020. We used both type of twine, sisal and plastic, the plastic is what I preferred, it held up better. We did stack our hay outdoors, no barn storage, so that is one major reason. We replaced it with a new 2020 John Deere 450E round baler with net wrap and monitor, netting stores better outside. It's been raining here almost everyday for two weeks... Looking forward to seeing the round baler running!

Yes it happens every time I get ready to do something to a piece of hay equipment!!! The fall down brackets are designed to drop down when the door is opened, their purpose is to keep the door from closing up on out in the field if the wind just happens to all of a sudden start gusting as your doing that hair pulling work on the baler!! A friend of mine has a JD 450 I think it is!!

Waiting for our weather to dry up so I can pull out the baler and haybine to get them ready. Just had a solid week of rain and I have to mow grass this weekend. Then they are calling for rain the beginning of next week. Oh well, can’t control the weather, we can just complain about it. Have a good day.
