The video was short, informative, and to the point. That's absolutely fine when the subject matter lends itself to it. I can only imagine how many hours went by unfilmed that wouldn't have added any substantive quality to our viewing experience. I won't be foolish and call this a simple repair, but it does seem that you have things well in hand and on their way to resolution of the problem.

Wow!!! It looks like you have found the problem with your 3 point hitch. It looks as tho whoever you bought the tractor from really didn't maintain it properly, but it looks as though you are getting on top of it and getting it cleared up. Great job, great video, thank for takeing us along on your discovery.....

When you start working on that part of a tractor I immediately think of onloneleyfarmer and rock shafts. :) I'm sure you don't like it at all especially with the air temp but I Iove all things farming that you guys do and I especially like the fact that you guys like Wes and Tim will try projects and almost 100% of the time succeed!

i have found this to work real well with the cylinders off drill and tap the pin holes so you can grease the pins.

I also have the issue that the 3-point doesn't go down unless I stand on it. I was wandering if I get the lower cylinder pins out without removing the upper ones. After viewing this video and get to know that it could be so tight that the lower pins even don't move referring to the cylinder, I got to know that I have to pull out the complete cylinder and got right on this way. Thanks for that.

I have John Deere 7200 and trying to remove the same lift arm but the bottom pin I cannot figure out how to remove. First was a long threaded bolt you remove but there is still a pin to remove and no way of getting out.

What impact did you use to push the pin out

Looks like you are right ...... looks like it just slides out according to the fish... once it is in place it can't go anywhere.....It has a limited amount of movement......

I have a 7700 that the three-point hitch will not go down on unless I stand on it or use another loader to push it down otherwise it works just fine was thinking about adding those Grease zirks to the top shaft like you did but after watching this video thinking it might actually be in the pins on the lift cylinders. Whats your thoughts?
@TheRestOfTheStory2 жыл бұрын
Pull your pins out of the lift cylinders. Most likely rusted solid. They are known for that.

Would it have been the grit for melting ice and snow damaged the seals?

Looks to me like that you need to use the 3 point hitch more to keep things from getting bound up.
@TheRestOfTheStory6 жыл бұрын
Use it as much as we can, it's the tractor we use the 3 point on the most
