You should slide the drawbar to the right so it is lined up with the chain bracket with minimal slack in the chain and under the lift arm. That will clear the PTO shaft.

ahh....the memories. when i was 5 and still learning how to ride a bike....impaled my knee on one of those spikes down at our barn. Bike was okay....blood everywhere. good times!

Trial and error it hooks into the chain that runs through it

A t-post or steel bar helps adjust your mower position when needing to get a piton the drawbars. Really saves the back.

How do you get the pivot shaft out of the narrow hole so you can put it in the wide hole

Are you referring to the pivot shaft where the cycle bar moves backwards and forwards?

it picks the bar up but the fly wheel side of mower drags the ground... just got and hooked up yesterday,,,,,fooled with today but not there yet..

The I bolt that has the chain on it goes to the hole on the draw bar if it still doesn’t pick it up then the issue may be in the big spring to adjust that a chain goes through the middle of the spring the links hook in each end of the spring hooks

it must be the chains,,it picks the left side up but not the other side.. thanks,,,,,do you remember how much slack or whitch chain links the spring hooks in......both these chains are really slack when sitting all the way down. thanks again

Cold the bar up I transport mode and pull about 4-6 links of slack out and hook it and see if it takes enough slack out and also you may have to take some slack out for the pin with the chain on it too
