That's true, experience that in a little shotgun double wide trailer sized bar like Robert's and it's a whole other level experience. He is an amazing player and performer, and yes he can sing too.

did he play anything spectacular? all i saw was a bunch of jumping around. honestly there are a thousand more guitar players in that town who can play just as well as JD Simo

@buddybluegaming32225 жыл бұрын
@@mrsockmonkey1969 I had the pleasure of seeing him live in downtown Nashville they're actually really good and I'm not a fan of country and that's all they play now they will play Johnny Cash but that's basically country but with a twist but this was always my favorite song that they did JD's not in the Band anymore by the way they can't replace him after you left to do his own thing drummer actually fell through the window at Robert's Bar and got hurt he recovered though he wasn't seriously injured actually sat down after they played their set really fun talk even brought my guitar and at them sign it really cool guys

AND, until you've had the opportunity to sit and listen to him first hand at robert's for FREE, you've got no idea where tone comes from. it's in the hands man. in the hands. and JD's got great hands. real musicians don't get jealous, but can understand beauty in all musicians who show forth the gift the good Lord gave them. PRIME example of a fantastic guitar player. easily the most original entity to come out in a long time man. dont hate =). enjoy it, you may never see it again.

Anybody watching this clip right now might as well throw their Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, and Tim McGraw CD's in the garbage! J.D. Simo IS the future of country music if there's any justice left in Nashville. I was a regular at Simo's Phoenix gigs seven years ago and this guy will blow you out of your chair everytime! Awesome stage presense and one of the hottest guitar players you will ever see...

@@mahadev7679 Well kind sir our Simo Stud happens to be the guitar player on the ELVIS movie soundtrack and has shared the stage with a huge number of legendary musicians over the last 20 years. i just have to jump in here and put in my 2 cents dude. i live here in nashville and i work at corner music where i get to see EVERYBODY. there are a LOT of great guitar players here, but not as many as you think. that being said, since everybody is awesome, it let's the true character of he player shine thru brightly. PRIME example is JD. he's the shit and there's nobody in this town that can touch what he does, out of originality and pure spice. it's beautiful what the boy does.

You know what's funny this is probably published one night that I was there years ago when he was still with The Don Kelley Band course is when they publish that shity rule that they couldn't let minors in even if we got id'd and had a marking on us I was the responsible one I wore that Mark like a sense of pride and that rule got shot down pretty quickly but only after I got the chance to meet the guitarist for saving Abel but I digress fun night all the same

I've heard of JD Simo before, his Burnin Live CD impressed me, but this cements him in my books as a top shelf player. I've been around the block with guitar and pretty much seen and heard most of what is out there from Hendrix to Segovia and everything in between and been playing 35 years myself so I'm no star struck newcomer. Tasteful choice of notes, a quality so hard to find nowdays & fantastic tone. A small Fender amp and a Tele, what a combo and he milks them for all they are worth.
