As a mom I cant figure out why politicians want abortions so dang bad? I don't know what era you grew up in, or what kind of family help you had. In many states welfare is not enough to raise a child on one's own, and often Section 8 is not available so that can put one in a very vulnerable position. Some women want to be college educated so they can afford to have a child and give that child a good life, not so they can just run around and go to bars like some politicians make it sound. The Republicans want to take away a program called, Head Start, it is a pre-school program which would allow moms more time to work and give their children a jump up in learning. As a general rule, Republicans do not like social programs, and they try to get rid of them. So this puts a woman between a rock and a hard place. How can one have a baby, not get medical help nor other necessities to be able to raise the child in a healthy way?
