Thanks for taking the time to do this video. I wish there were more out there for beginners. I own cattle and horses but I am embarrassed to say I am horrible at roping. It was never a priority to me but know I want to get into it.

Haha... I hear ya my friend. I can only dream about roping the real stuff ( perhaps one of these days I will ). I built my own roping dummy a while back and like to break it out every now and then . I thought I knew what I was doing .... Until I watched this ! Haha Yeah .... I throw like I’m throwing a baseball ⚾️. I’m going to start over and find another approach now . Good stuff !! THAT is a excellent denomination for us beginners. I’ve been roping ( practice only ) on a dummy calf for about 3 years . My technique isn’t that great . I will be honest .,... I think I do throw it like a baseball . I’m going to try this way now . I had zero training . Just something I like to do ya know . July 4 our local Rodeo ( Cowtown NJ ), will be back in business . Can’t wait !! ( they’ve been temporarily closed due to the virus ). Love taking my family to Cowtown !! Feel like I’m in another state altogether . Stay safe as always my friend .
