Still enjoying both my Bass A large bore, and bass E 1" bore flutes you made for me. They sound great and the satin finish on the Bass A came out very nice as did the wolf fetish. Playing along with your video it's almost hypnotic when you have two bass flutes playing at the same time.

Hello good morning!! Yes with all finger holes closed, the flute will be in the key of A. First finger hole opened from the bottom = C So you have C - D - E - F# - G - A I hope this helps? Jimmy. :)

That is one beautiful flute!! I made a few flutes in G, but I actually need some solid advice from you! I made a 32 inch long bass flute in G, 1 1/8" bore hole through, only did the flute mouth key that is .5" wide X .3" long air split key starts at 31" so where do I start, measure 1st finger hole and what sizes/spacing to drill and where so I could dirll A, B, C, D, E, F, G holed 7 holes exactly. Help be much appreciated!

Thanks I really do appreciate it. I really can't tell you what the measurements will be for your flute because I don't make a G with a 1 - 1/8 inch bore. Also I do not right down measurements for my flutes. Each flute will be different. This may help you. Measure from the square sound hole to the end of the flute then mark the center. Use the center mark for your 3rd hole from the bottom. You will have to figure out the rest of the holes to get the desire voice. Maybe this will help?

It is probably something dealing with your fetish. It could might not be in the right position, it could might not be tight causing it to lose air, check to see if you have something like a piece of trash or lint blocking your air flow under your parrot.
