So many of the IWC clearly haven’t done WFH jobs where lots of management can be done remotely. Vince can get a script, rewrite it on his computer, and be far away and still manage things. If anything, Vince overplayed his hand by showing up in gorilla. Vince could have “stayed away” and let HHH take the heat for his bad booking. He didn’t need to be executive chairman either, he had majority control. All he had to do was sit back and let HHH take the heat. If anything, Vince played himself when he could have just been Tom Voldemort and had power and control while being He Who Shall Not Be Named. Instead he’s begging for people to find more issues with him for the Feds to investigate.

I think that in order for Cody's story to remain compelling, it needs to stay loosely connected with the Usos, Solo Sikoa, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Even in the midst of negativity, one thing I thought they nailed with Cody Rhodes before Wrestlemania was his indirect role of motivating Sami for Elimination Chamber, and then again with reconciling Sami/Kevin for Wrestlemania. But Cody himself losing at Wrestlemania opens up a lot of potential plotlines. It inverts the relationship between Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn. Sami "Finished his story" but Cody couldn't "Finish his story". So now, in the same way that Sami doubted that he could beat Roman and needed Cody's encouragement, Cody can now doubt he can beat Roman and Sami can repay the favor. I think all of this could have been addressed if the main event of backlash was as you said JD, Roman/Jey/Jimmy vs Cody/Sami/Kevin in a 6-man tag. But now with Vince seemingly back in the picture, and Lesnar getting involved, I worry that Sami/Kevin are going to be ex-communicated from Cody's story having nothing to do with Lesnar. Hopefully I'm wrong though.
